About to book our 1st Universal Vacation! I've read everything & asked the good ppl here some questions. So before I book I would like to share with YOU and tell me what you think...
Who: DS14, DS14, DS10 & me
WHEN: July 1st - July 8th (aware it will be BUSY but summer is our only time)
HOTEL: RPR
Was going to book a PACKAGE but after reading the advice here I'm going to book the hotel thru the Loews website & the park tix thru a 3rd party (UT) planning to go to Blue Man Group as well.
Any more advice or feedback????
TIA
Heidi

I think you are very wise booking separately and having unlimited Express during that busy week will be a blessing. I'm sure you'll have a wonderful trip!

Thanks for responding! I got most of my planning ideas from your posts & advice

Once you book, watch for any AP discounts that might come out. You might find that getting one AP is worth the cost.

Yeah, your the other one that I have gotten a ton of info from. ThankYou! I will look into the AP (for myself)

Can you please explain to me the advantage of having one AP?

For the discounts. The AP hotel discounts can be up to 40% and there are also dining and merchandise discounts. The AP is only about $100 more expensive than a ticket and the discounts can quickly add up to actually save you a lot of money.

To check the AP hotel discounts, use the code APH on the website, www.loewshotels.com

The discounts only come out for about 3 months at a time.

op, great to stay onsite during your time period.

go early in the morning and take a break back at the rph pool in the early afternoon.

you'll be missing the more intense crowds and will be able to relax for the afternoon then go back for the evening to the parks.

park hours are longer in the summer.

sunscreen will be available at the pool in case you didn't bring any on your trip.

;) Thanks Macraven your another one that has been helping me plan this through all your posts here!

Looks like you got it covered.Remember if there is anywhere you really WANT to eat , you can book reservations at Opentable.com
Some of the restuarants can be booked already for July.
