Final Payment please tell me there's wiggle room

My final payment was due yesterday. Called my TA to give her the CC info and get a VM that says she is out of town frim Friday until Sunday. If you need to make a final payment of deposit please send her and email as whe wll be checking while she is away. I did this, left a number for her to call me. Never hear from her. No answer to my email either!! Advise needed!

But yes, you should be fine....there are a few days b/w the payment due date & the date at which your res gets booted from the system...

You definitely have the right to have "a bone to pick" with your TA. It is quite irresponsible to not contact you prior to your due date. You shouldn't be the one doing the legwork. That is what she is there for, is it not?

You would think being out of town 3 days, your TA would have checked her clients to see who had final payments due and contacted them before going out of town. If I were a TA I'd also be sending out reminders whether I was out of town or not...what TA can afford to lose a booking? Especially now.

all is OK! Took care of everything yesterday morning when TA got home.


To be fair, I need to mention my TA is actually great, and she did contact me about a week before she left to remind me that final payment was due. She didn't mention that she was going out of town, however. If she had, I would've called her that day! She appologized for that.

She also did reply to my email but something happened and I never got it. She was very embarrassed and appologized repeatedly for the mix up.

No harm, no foul, except a few hours of worry on my end.

I agree, they must check it first if there's someone due for final payment before having a vacation.
