Final Payment Late?

Has anyone ever made their final late? A friend who is splitting the room with my son doesnt have all of his money yet. He said he will have it next week, so the payment may be 2 weeks late for that room. Just wanted an idea of the situation before I call. TIA

I made my final payment late on my last trip because I didn't think to order my Disney Visa rewards card until shortly before it was due. I had over 200 in rewards, so I really wanted to use them. I didn't realize that it would take over a week to get the card, though. Not long after my 45 day mark, I got an email saying that payment was due and if I didn't pay it by 30 days before, the trip would automatically be canceled. It pained me to pay it late, but I wasn't giving up on that $200.

Ok, the CM on the phone just said that he can't promise it wont be cancelled on day 44. I guess will now decide if I should put the money out for others and then hope I get it back...

That is what I would do. However, if the friend never comes up with the money, I would take him/her off the reservation so that can't go without paying.

I've never done it but have read on here many times that they don't cancel until day 30.

I would probably pay it, but, I would take their name off the ressie, and then add it back once I got the money. That way, if they don't pay you back, then you can cancel and get most of your money back. Stinks, but, I guess that is the only way to do it. I would let my friend know exactly what I was doing, tell them exactly what the CM said.

Yep, I'm just going to pay for my family now, then add our friend when he has the money. I dont really think they would cancel until the 30 day mark, but it's a chance I'm not willing to take. Thanks for all the advice!
