Final Fantasy XI

Attention Fellow Gamers:
Just wondering if any of you guys/gals are online playing Final Fantasy XI?! I love and hate this game at the same time! I love it because, well, it's FINAL FANTASY, and the gameplay is excellent. I hate it because it's sooooooooooooooooo addicting!! Anyways, just seeing if anyone on this board is online. Happy Gaming!!

I would like to because I own and beat all other Final Fantasy games. But I need to buy the game and the internet connection for my PS2 and that kinda annoys me.

My nephew and I are both addicted to these games so we may do it together. He doesn't have internet at home so maybe he'll by the internet setup and I'll buy the game.

My DS who is 17 plays that online, I think it's like $10 a monthas well as Star Wars Galaxies, which is a little more expensive to play. I don't think they should charge a fee.
He goes through times where he gets addicted too!
That's the fun of it!

Hey there,
Yeah, this is definitely not like ur typical final fantasy game. you gotta have a bit more "punch" in ur equipment to have full action. I'm running it on an Alienware Area-51 and the graphics are, obviously, incredible and with a cable connection...the lag is minimal.

I used to play Star Wars Galaxies but cut it off because of money issues back in the day. Now, I stick with FFXI. I think it's worth the money because they have to keep updating and running the servers. It's the only way they can keep it going. Sort of like how there are sponsors for this site. There is this other game called "America's Army" that is "free." It's a shooting game but it's extremely realistic. It's made by the U.S. Army so and is constantly being updated. So technically, you...as an American taxpayer, are paying for that game too! Might as well get it for your son , unless he already has it. Good Luck!...getting him off the games to simply eat...or shower, hehe.
