Final Day for Toontown Fair

Today is the final day of Mickey’s Toontown Fair at the Magic Kingdom. Soon the walls will go up and Mickey and Minnie will pack up for new diggs in Town Square. The Princesses will be there too, at least temporarily while Tink and her friends move to EPCOT to flirt among the flowers.

Will you miss Toontown Fair? There does not seem to be any plans to recreate it.

All our children love Goofys Barnstormer and as parents we have great memories of when our eldest children used to play in the Donalds Ship area and the Pooh Bear play area, however for the past 2 visits we havent even bothered to visit Toontown only to ride the Barnstorm.

I dont think DH will even realise its missing if I dont tell him once were there in October

Not to recreate it. Toontown was never intended to stay as long as it was - it was a temporary part of the park and not a 'land' in itself as the other areas of the MK.

The plans for this area are that it is incorporated into the new Fantasyland.

I will miss it, but something new is never a bad thing. My DD is old enough now that we could skip it quite easily but I have fond memories of spending an evening there on our first visit and watching her face light up. This is also where she rode her first rollercoaster, the Barnstormer, and the beginning of having a coaster buddy by my side - at last!!

I agree. I will miss it but am always exited to see progress. Looking forward to seeing the new developments ESP the dwarfs mine coaster.

Oh yes, that Dwarf coaster looks very good from the renditions I have seen

I will miss it, we were really fortunate to have had our Wedding photos taken there.

Normal the MK Bridal shoots use the fantasyland but as they were filming a commercial we got to go there instead so we got some great pics of us in our wedding stuff in Minnies House

We've just come back and the frame work for all the new buildings is springing up really quickly. We were on the train going round the park on Saturday and yes all the boards are up, but when you get to the station, the train stops for water and you can see through the green mesh, it looked really erily (sp?) with no people in it.

We were told that yes the Fairies are going to Epcot, Mickey is going to Exposition Hall (they are currently refitting it for him) but at present until its complete he is at the back of Tomorrow Land near Buzz. The Princesses are going to Adventure Land. Their new home is going to be where Snow White currently is. Once the ride is shut, it will then be converted into a new meet and greet area for the princesses.

Can't wait for the new bits to open, especially beasts ballroom and the little mermaid ride - two of my favourtie films
