Hooray! 25 days till we're in WDW for the first time EVER!!! Actually, 25 days from this MOMENT we'll be in Epcot.

But right here, right now, I want to make sure all my bases are covered, all my ducks are in a row, and my i's dotted and t's...well, you get it.

So what do I need to be doing right now? I still need to go buy a couple of things, but other than that, what else do I need to do? When do I call the airline to confirm my flight? Do I need to call WDW to confirm my room ressie? What are the things I absolutely MUST TAKE with us to the world?

I've been planning this trip for forever and I feel like now that it's almost here, there's nothing left to do and I'm getting realllllyyyy antsy.

Thanks!

If you've been on the DIS, and if you've been planning your trip forever, then I'm sure you have your bases covered! Yes, I would confirm everything... Make sure you have everything typed up- reservation and confirmation numbers, ADR times, etc.

Just relax and have a WONDERFUL time!

Not to worry at this point, I am sure you have all bases covered. Will you have a vehicle at your disposal or not. I wouldn't stress over the things to take as much as being positive about reservations ie: flight and resort. So go and enjoy your FIRST MAGICAL trip to OUR favorite place (soon to be yours also I'm sure) :thumbsup2

You're gonna have fun, you're gonna have fun! :dance3:  :yay: :cheer2:

Cool! I leave in 27 days, sounds like we'll be there at the same time :yay:

I actually made my list and shopped for essentials today. My DH laughed at me and called me an over achiever! Most important items for me to remember are a fanny pack, blistex, sunscreen, advil and moleskin. Maybe some mylanta for all the food I'll be eating! I'm a :coffee: snob, so I'll be packing some of that :rotfl: Clothes are easy! Average daily hi-temp for our time is 90 so keep that in mind! Less is more. I always plan to buy a sweatshirt and that way I have it if needed during the trip. If you plan on a special occasion dinner, pack something a little dressy. I don't mean an evening gown! Nice pants/shorts and something other than a tank top, unless it has a jacket. One collard shirt for the men/boys. Dressy is not a requirement but its sooooo much fun to do! My opinion of course!

I'd confirm airline verbally now, make sure your flight is logged in under your frequent flier account if you have one. Disney never gave me a flight confirmation number, so I called the airlines directly and used the flight number to find my ressie at link it to my account. If you don't have a frequest flier account, sign up. You can choose your seats now too! Then 24hrs prior to departure, print off your boarding pass. Then at the airport, skycap your luggage. Much faster!

Concierge at AKL advised me to place preferences for room type, bed, etc the first day I spoke with him. You should call if you want a particular request such as non-smoking! But looks like as of 06-01, everything is non smoking. Hope they use ionizers!!! You did make all your ADR's? These are the things that I have done and I feel pretty good about everything! I am sure you have dotted all your i's and crossed your t's! Now just relax and have some fun! This website is a great way to do just that!!!

Hi!

We won't have our own vehicle. We will be staying at CBR, using DME and of course, disney transportation between parks.

Thank you so much for the tips on the weather this time of year.

I will go ahead and call on our flight ressies, though I have the sinking feeling they'll change again right before we leave! We've already made our special requests (Non Smoking, Upper Level, joining rooms, and Jamaica or Aruba) long ago. We are on the ddp and we have all our ts reservations made, ds is set up to go on his pirate adventure, and we have a rough idea of what parks we want to be in on what days. We have also prioritized which rides we absolutely must do and what attractions we want to see. However, we are leaving room for down time and spur of the moment decisons, so nothing is written in stone.

23 days to go!
:hourglass
