I can't believe you made it past midnight! I'm pretty sure I gave up around 10:30, I was so tired haha.

Looks like a ton of fun though! I have to laugh because on Monday my Mom and I did the Big Thunder walk around and ride until we couldn't anymore, so fun!

Yep! I couldn't believe it either, especially with how early I woke up for the race. We had SUCH luck with Big Thunder this trip, I thought that night that 5 times in a row was a lot...but you will see that we did far more than that by the end of the trip! That's why the TR is named after Big Thunder!

Thanks! It was a great night. I LOVE MK at night, I realize that each time I do it and then somehow forget. I should just schedule nighttime visits there all the time!

I was thinking about that! Yes, they had EMH until 1am and I think it was directly related to PHM, so think they may do it again. I would be totally up for trying to get over there for a few rides after Jellyrolls! Do you think we could pull it off??

I'm still unsure myself how I did it! I don't remember the bus ride or getting back to the room AT.ALL. No recollection! I was a walking zombie at that point.

Thanks! I was pretty amazed at myself...on a normal night I can barely stay up past 9pm, much less after waking at 1:40am and running a half marathon!

Aaaand it's STILL the day of the Princess Half! So at this point, it was after Wishes and I had been up since 1:40 am, run a half marathon, toured World Showcase and now we were headed into Extra Magic hours.

I have no idea how I was still awake, but when at Disney, I don't want to miss a moment and I don't really remember feeling tired. My knees hurt like crazy and I was hobbling all over, but I was still ready to go!

What a trooper!!! I don't know how you kept going. At my age I need my morning and afternoon naps just to make it until bed time! to you!!

I have procrastinated continuing with my TR, I think it's b/c I don't want it to end. There's plenty left, but the race day is over, so it's harder to get myself to do it.

Savannah actually scoffed at me the other day when I told her I had just finished race day. It's the slowest I have ever written a TR, so I must be doing something right.

If you recall, I had a 23 hour day that included running a half marathon, drinking at Epcot, and Magic Kingdom EMH until 1am!

We actually got back to Pop around 1am and I was asleep before I can even remember anything. I woke up at 6am.

It's just how I am. I just cannot sleep at Disney, I don't want to miss anything! I got up and went to grab coffee and sit by the pool with my journal. It was a gorgeous morning! I think I posted on FB or twitter that I was sitting by the pool and by the miracle of social networks, Meg tweeted that she would be right down to join me! It was a gorgeous morning and it was so fun to see Meg one last time. I have no clue why I didn't take a picture???

I let the girls sleep in a bit (10am) and we said our goodbye's to Kim who was headed home. It was a bit of a late start for my taste, but I had planned for it, so I wasn't stressing and was kind of excited to have it just be us 3 girls and have the race stuff over...

until I realized that our first FP we might miss! I had made our FP's later since I knew we would have a late start, but we were still cutting it close so I logged into DME and changed it while on the bus! Then realized we were going to make it and didn't need to. At this point I couldn't change it back, so it gave us a bit of time to get back there.

I LOVE Animal Kingdom. LOVE it. I know it's some people's least favorite park but I just adore the theming. I love the African theme, music, greenery. I know some thing it's like a zoo, but for me it couldn't be farther from a zoo (I don't really like zoos). In any case, I was just so happy to be there and only hobbling a little bit this morning! LOL

In case you are interested, DHS is my least favorite park! (Ann, it's ok, don't cry!)

Little cloudy this morning and threatening rain. Works for me, better for photos...only time I get annoyed with clouds is pooltime.

I have been to Disney in January once and February twice and I'm still always amazed at the blooming and flowering things in what we consider the middle of winter!

Ahhh...soon, my pretty. soon!

But first the Safari! It was funny b/c I really messed up changing our FP, we had to stand there for about 2 minutes until it was 5 minutes until our time and we could use our FP's! Off we went to the Safari (which will absolutely have to be in the next post b/c there won't be room here)

It's funny you mention how everything was in bloom because my Mom and I marveled at that too! Especially coming from the snowiest winter ever all that color was weird and beautiful of course we loved it!

I'm a huge Animal Kingdom fan as well, I think it's a beautiful park and I really love all the landscaping and attractions.

I like Animal Kingdom far more than my hubby. So we never do it much justice when he's around. And I am bummed the ONLY day we planned it poured. Boo. (But at least I got on EE 6 times in a row thanks to that rain!).

I think AK is such a pretty park. And I love, love, love the attention to the little details there.

Good job on letting the kids sleep till 10am. Not sure I could do that.

Ok I am waaaaaay behind on commenting but here goes some catching up...

The "thought they said RUM" sign was definitely one of my favorite signs on the course!

Yet another margarita flavor at La Cava I want to try, guess I'll have to take another trip...

I love those African bead bracelets...I had never seen them before and my mom actually bought one on this trip too. We had fun trying to figure out what kind of disney paper each color bracelet came from...

It's too bad that CRT was a disappointing experience, but the fireworks view sounds so magical...I will definitely have to try and see it from there sometime


I'm so impressed at how late you stayed up after the race! I still have not managed to crash and burn a few hours after a half marathon....even at Disney, haha.
