Film in the airport

Hi everyone, thanks for your answer in advance. I will be bringing my camara with me. What do you do with your film, when going through airport security? Won't the xray hurt it? Any information would be greatly appreciated. Not even sure if this was the right place to ask this question.

I recently traveled on the Disney Magic and flew from Boston to Orlando. KEEP YOUR FILM IN YOUR CARRY ON!. The new x-rays for the checked luggage is much stronger than the carry on x-rays and will damage your film. The carry-on x-rays are OK up to 800 speed film. Hope this helps.

When we flew last Friday the security person for the checked luggage kept asking everyone if they had film in their bag. So be sure to put it in carryon. I've used up to 800 and never had a problem with carryon.
