Filling out pre-boarding documentation

Do you really have to complete ALL the pre-boarding documentation that DCL sends you? Why do they need to know my airline reservation number and if I'm staying at WDW? I am not on a Land/Sea voyage so they don't need it for luggage purposes. Can you get away with not filling all of it out? Thanks.

I ripped it out last time and had to fill out a piece of paper indicating our "post cruise" plans - I can't remember why but it made sense when she told me. Maybe it has to do with situations like the hurricane altered cruises? They can do a lot of work behind the scenes to help out in the event something goes haywire

Fwiw, I told my friend what to take out and she did the same as I did and her CM yelled at her for ripping pages out (mine didn't really care). I think the docs could be a little bit better organized IMO

After four cruises with Disney, I feel qualified to "rip" my own forms out and organize the couple forms into a smaller pile. (that way why don't have to bring "all" the books with us.)

I already did for this cruise.....Just let them yell....

I'm on vacation :earseek:

It is true you do not need the whole booklet with you at time of check in....put please do fill out the pages that they ask you to. You can rip those out, if you want and no one will yell at you.

They ask for all that info for two reasons....data collection and most importantly if there is a situation where they need to reach you before or after your cruise (cruise is late leaving, returning, etc.) I am sure it helps them to know what airline everyone is on so they can have the early flight people get off the ship first (which happened once when we were very late in getting pack to port).

There are not that many pages to fill out...

Obviously if you are not travelling with any children that are not your own you would not need to fill out the page that refers to that....

PAyment Authorization Form - 1 only needed per cabin not per person

Cruise Embarkation Form

Departure Information Card

Cruise Contract Signature Form

(There is also a form for adding transfers if you need it and a form for children travelling unaccompanied by their parents if that applies to any minor in your group that MUST be notarized.)

I always tear out the necessary pages and only bring those along with me.

Why carry all of those little booklets if you don't need them.

Never had a cast member complain about it yet.

I generally go around as many "form" checkpoints as I can, too, when I get to the terminal.

I was just complaining to myself that the documents took up so much room in my purse, so it is ok for me to just pull of the few sheets we need and pass them in instead of bringing all the books? I will bring the luggage tags too obviously as we are flying in the night before.

Yes it is okay to just bring the needed pages instead of the whole book. I have done it many times.

If you want to have all of the info, bring one book and tear out the necessary pages from any other books that you have and only bring them along.

You are right, don't forget to bring the luggage tags with you.
