I gave up cotton for dri-fit and UA type shirts while at WDW. Shame too, b/c I have a great collection of graphic T shirts that were disney focused. These shirts work great for after water rides like Kali...they don't hang on you when wet like cotton does.
plus, as a bonus, they are usually bright neon colors so my family can find me easily.
My local Sports authority just went out of business (bummer) but I made sure to take advantage of the discounts and stock up for my August trip.
I'll also add, that I recently started wearing non-cotton socks (I have to wear socks when walking that much) b/c I do a lot of mud run type events. And the mostly nylon or other synthetic material (not cotton) socks work the same as the shirts we are talking about. They don't get soggy and retain water and sweat. Plus, many have special stitching that help support your arches and act as compression on your feet, giving them a bit more life late into a long park day.
