My husband and I are going to try to get ADRs tonight for the following restaurants. It really doesn't matter what day or time for any of them really, but let me know what you think of each restaurant please, please :)

Akershus - Lunch/Dinner
Crystal Palace - Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner
Artist Point - Dinner
Whispering Canyon Cafe - Lunch/Dinner
Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater - Lunch/Dinner

We have the DDP, so this is how many we can choose for 6 nights. We don't mind adding something else and payin cash though. Let me know what you think Disers!!!

I just typed a bunch of stuff and it disappeared as I was typing!!!
I have a ghost in the machine!!

Let me try again:

We have eaten lunch at Crystal Palace and hated it. Just weird choices on buffet. For what we spent - wasn't impressed. I ate off the kids portion of the buffet.

Lots of people will tell you they hate Sci Fi, but we like it if you stick with basics like burgers, you'll be fine. And the glowing ice cubes are fun.

We are eating at Whispering Canyon next week. But lots of people tell me it is good and a fun place to eat as well.

We ate at Artist Point two trips ago and it was EXCELLENT. The service was awesome as well. Constant attention to us and our two daughters. The girls order chicken off the kids menu and were surprised when a chicken breast came out - I am sure they were expecting nuggets or something! They gobbled it right up along with their beans and potatoes! They loved it.

We really like Kona which is a nice spot for a couple without kids. I'd do that over Crystal Palace...just my opinion, but if you need to see Pooh and friends, CP is the place to go of course.

Akershus - Lunch/Dinner

What they might say: don't like the menu/ethnic food

What I say: just had an 11:30 lunch there. had belle as a greeter in her yellow ball gown. we also saw ariel, cinderella, aurora and jasmine. service was decent. food was way delicious. i had the pasta akershus which has chicken. the pasta was great, the chicken was probably the best chicken i've ever had. it was a slab of it, perfectly cooked, juicy. if you can find something in the menu that appeals to you, go for it.

Crystal Palace - Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner

What they might say: love it for the food, love it or hate it for the characters

What I say: I don't often recommend this one unless it's an 8:05 and you're doing it to get into the park early on a non-EMH day. otherwise, i'll also recommend it for the ability to see piglet or for a young birthday. The food is absolutely great (the breakfast pizza is often raved about, but I go for the vegetable fritata myself) - one of the larger buffet selections and good food to boot. That said, I've eaten breakfast here a couple of times and this time I made a beeline for the restaurant and we were the 2nd or 3rd family to check in. By the time we left at 8:45, we had seen all the characters. So I'd definitely advise going right there if you can. The other time I went, I was a bit late and in a period of 45 minutes, I had only seen Pooh (this last time, we were even warned by the server that if we miss characters while we get food, it could be 90 minutes before we get the chance to see them again).

Artist Point - Dinner

never ate there but don't recall hearing a bad thing about it

Whispering Canyon Cafe - Lunch/Dinner

They will love it or hate it.

What I Say: I love this place. Only for the ambience and only for dinner. If you know what to expect and this appeals to you, go for it. Make sure you get seated in the main room too. this one is loud and rambunctious and that's how it should be.

Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater - Lunch/Dinner

What They Might Say: Bad food, bad service

What I Say: I've eaten here multiple times and haven't encountered either. Service has been very attentive. I eat the shrimp penne pasta, only I get chicken instead of shrimp. burgers are highly recommended. if you don't see what you want, ask.

Thanks for all the reviews. I wasn't really sure about CP, but we've eaten at all the other sit down restaurants in MK. Maybe we will just go back to Liberty Tree Tavern. We had a great time there last year!

Great, great!!

Thanks again everyone!
