Ok - I, apparently, like to make situations complicated. I need help!

Here is scenario:

Wednesday...Kids and I fly in...DME to Pop.

Friday - Husband flies in...DME to Pop (can he? If I am already there?)

Sunday - we are switching to AKL. Taking DME from there when we leave the following Saturday.

So, basically, can my husband take DME days after I do, even if we have already been at the resort for 2 days? Do I make the reservation for all 4 of us (no tix/dining) from the get go? Or, do I essentially do 3 reservations:

6/15 - 6/17 - res #1 at Pop for me and Kids (we do DME off this one)

6/17-6/19 - res #2 at Pop for all 4 of us (DH does DME off of this one)

6/19-6/25 - res #3 at AKL for all 4 of us (all of us take DME to airport from this one)

How can I make this easiest?

Thanks!!

Your husband can take DME to Pop because everyone on the resort reservation is entitled to one round trip on DME. It doesn't matter that he will be arriving 2 days after you and your children. Just register with DME in advance and let them know the 2 different arrival flights and dates.

It would be simpler to make one reservation for your entire Pop stay even if your husband is coming in later because making 2 reservations (June 15-17, then June 17-19) means you would have to pay 2 deposits and potentially have to change rooms. With one reservation there will be only one night's deposit and you would not have to check out/in and possibly move rooms on the 17th. If either of your kids is 18 or older you would have to pay $10 per night for the third adult, but to me that would be worth the hassle of not having to pack up and move rooms after 2 nights.

When you book DME you will get 2 packets, one for the Pop stay and one for the AKL stay. You'll use the info and yellow tags for Pop and your departure info from the AKL packet.

We do this all the time - just one reservation for Pop is fine as mentioned above and book just a one way DME for the arrivals. I usually do have to call DME rather than using the website but have never had issues booking two (or more) rides as long as the person is a registered guest. My dd almost always arrives later or leaves earlier than the rest of us due to work.

For the ALK stay just book the other one way trip for all of you on the way home - you can even do this when you arrive at ALK if you prefer.

You are awesome! I have been to WDW so many times, with so many scenarios...split stays, etc. But, never arriving separately from the rest of my party! Thank you so much!

ME is really quite flexible. I once booked a room (well technically DD booked the room thru their CM website since she was a CM) after 11pm on one night and was in the air on my way to WDW before DME opened the next morning. When I arrived at MCO, I went to the counter and they looked up the ressie and saw how new it was and printed me a boarding pass for the bus.
They work with all kinds of situations.
