Think about the following:
The Wheel on Wheel of Fortune has 24 wedges. Each wedge has three segments to it. The special prize is only one segment on a wedge, with a Bankrupt on either side.
A person who gets the special prize has to win that game without hitting a Bankrupt to keep the special wedge.
If the person holding the special wedge gets a Bankrupt in any subsequent game they lose that wedge.
The person holding the wedge has to be the high scorer of the night to get to the bonus round.
The Wheel for the bonus round has 24 wedges. If the person with the special prize wedge gets to the bonus round, the card for the $100,000 prize is replaced with a card for the $1,000,000 prize. The contestant has to spin this wheel and land on the $1,000,000 card (but they don't know until afterwards.
The person has to get the bonus question correct.
Today there was a $1,000,000 winner.
