Figment Popcorn Bucket Insanity

I truly wish I could say I was surprised. But I was at Disneyland over Christmas and saw a one woman buy 26 mickey gingerbread men, so. Nothing really surprises me anymore.

Was at MK on the 50th, and seemed more people were waiting in line for merchandise and popcorn buckets (the balloon ones). Meanwhile we walked on multiple rides (or had very short waits). Merchandise craze drives me crazy, especially the ones who gobble up the stuff just to resell on ebay. I just wanted one of the new starbucks mugs (been there 50th) and there were none, meanwhile plenty were on ebay for twice the price. I just want a mug because I actually use them for myself. Oh well, what can you do.

$200 for 6 hours, I guess that might be worth it for some people.

yeah it doesn’t seem worth it to me but I’ve also seen pictures of people carrying out huge shopping bags full of them. Calls into question the enforcement of 2 per person.

There could also be some genuinely geeked out Figment fans and god bless them

The people who buy them to sell them for a profit aren't the ones waiting 6 hours - they're experienced enough with the process to be as close to the front of the line as they can - run to the pavilion, get in and get out and get them up for sale. I agree with a previous post, though - what about folks who want to buy other Pop Arts food items? Guess they couldn't have a 'bucket only' line?

If you had early entry and only waited 30 minutes, then yes I think it's definitely worth it for a big Figment fan.

I haven't seen the pics yet but the buckets are pretty big, you can probably only fit 2 in a standard Disney shopping bag.
