Does anyone know when this book is coming out?

It was originally due July 2002, then postponed to November 2002 to coincide with the movie opening next week. but now they don't know when they'll publish it -- apparently Rowling hasn't finished writing it yet.

I've also heard that another reason it was delayed was that she was sued! She apparently won and is now able to continue the series, but she didn't want to publish any more until that court case was settled.

I've just seen this thread. I saw J K Rowling being interviewed at the UK premiere of The Chamber of Secrets and she said the latest book was only weeks away from going to the publishers. I think she said she was on chapter 38. I can't wait.

Watched a show on TV on Friday night that was a biography of JK Rowling. She says that she has the concepts for all the books now and the ending for the seventh book is already written. She said that there would be some deaths before the end of the series. So we are trying to decide who will die.

It's hard to imagine Harry, Ron or Hermione being killed off. Although that would ensure a very permanent conclusion to the series. But still... I'd be much happier seeing that meanie Draco Malfoy winding up on the wrong end of a black magic spell.

I wonder if one of the other Weasley children will get killed? Or maybe Neville Longbottom. Or better yet one or all of the Dursleys.
