Anyone else have this?

I use Fiestaware for my everyday dishes. I love them love them love them!

I have 2 sets each of 6 different colors, this is new stuff, no vintage stuff yet. My question is that some of the lighter colored pieces have these small black marks on them. Almost like someone has taken a pencil to them, and made dashes all over them.

Is there any way to remove these marks that anyone knows of?

I have a set of pink Fiesta dishes. No black marks on mine, so can't help you there. I remember all the colors my grandmother had when I was growing up. Her kitchen cabinets had glass fronts, so the dishes were visible and very colorful.

Try Barkeepers Friend, it will probably take the marks off.

I'm sure I'm younger than you Spring Mice But I love my Fiesta and my Mother is paying the price for letting herself be talked out of my grandmothers. I have I think 15 differnt colors now with A serving piece in each color, A mini pitcher in each color, a coffee mug in most colors and Flatware and Steak knives. Does anybody know where I can find more steak knives?

Dan, I just gotta I tell you, bud . . . you are a font of knowledge. ;) I don't know how you do it, but you always seem to come up with the right answer.

Debster812, I love Fiestaware, too, and I have quite a few pieces I've picked up over the years.

I remember seeing the pretty colors stacked up in my grandma's cabinets, too. Isn't it funny, the memories we bring with us from childhood, Slimplaw? I think that's why I like Fiestaware so much, now. Yikes! I'm turning into my grandmother!

330 days and counting . . . again

Dan Murphy,

Is there anything you CANNOT find on the internet. Wow, you are good!!

I can remember getting my dishes, I desperately wanted new ones. See, I inherited my grandmother's Johnson Bros Regency dishes. All white. Very very white. So I grew up eating off them, then after she passed away I lived in her house until we sold it, then I kept them, and added to them when we got married. So I had been using these same dishes for 26 years or so. So I wanted C O L O R in my kitchen ;)

I will try cleaning one of them this weekend

Thanks everyone.
