Fidelity communication?

Oh man, Fidelity. The first DVC contract I ever bid on, Disney exercised ROFR - of course. I only found out when I logged in to do my banking and found a $1000 refund on my credit card. I was new to this and didn't really know what it meant. So I emailed my broker at Fidelity mentioning the credit and asked them, "Does this mean that Disney exercised ROFR?" That was September 2019, to this day I have never received an answer. The broker mentioned when I put in the offer, that if Disney exercises ROFR, I could keep my deposit with them to put towards another offer. I didn't even get the chance. It was especially painful as being Cdn, I lose on the exchange everytime I get a refund. I personally would never use them again even if I found the unicorn contract, but that's me. When I get that kind of truly horrible service, I don't go back.

I've gone through with 3 contracts with them. Overall good experience that didn't deviate much from some of the other brokers. Some agents are better then others. If the contract is the one I want, at the price I want to pay, then its worth the headache of a detached agent. I'll take the money saved over the few extra emails and calls needed to see these contracts through.

I always find out who the agent is and email them requesting details of the contract in case they haven't updated the site and numbers have changed (for my benefit)

Can someone tell me if Disney exercise ROFR, do you basically just lose your admin fee? It's $195 yes?

As DonMacGregor says Disney pay the fee instead of you. Fee has now increased to $225 though.

I've added on twice through Fidelity.
Once resulted in excellent communication and responsiveness, the other, not so much. And, at that time, Fidelity only updated their website via nightly batch updates, and not at all on the weekends. (that may have changed by now ???)

We used Fidelity twice this year and had good outcomes both times. Ivey and Bonnie were our agents. I have found that Fidelity brokers work more "banker's hours" so emails may not get responded to in the evenings and especially on weekends. A couple other brokers we tried first, but contracts were Rofrd the agents seem to work all hours of the day.
