At one point, my dh was saying something to me about something that I ate and had high fiber and he made a comment like the fiber was cancelling out some of the carbs. Is that true and how does that work with the numbers?

For example, today I ate something at lunch that had 23 carbs and 11 grams of fiber. So does that make it more like 12 carbs? I usually don't pay much attention but I did because it was such a large fiber count that it caught my eye.

TIA
Chris

Yep! That is how it works! Back the fiber out of the carbs....that leaves you with the amount of carbs in whatever you ate.

I guess you are gonna have to tell the hubby he was right! ;)

Oh no - this is horror, trust me Liz :)

Thanks for that info. I guess I never realized that until I read that because the fiber was really affecting me actually.
