My SIL will be using our points to rent a studio next July. Few questions: When was BWV renovated? What about VWL? Given your choice for a family of four (dd 9, ds 5) where would you stay? I am all for OKW, but I'm biased. Our home resort is AK so I could book her there now. Thoughts?

If the trip is for the kids, AKV. For the adults, BWV. For both with close access to the MK, VWL.

For four, I'd book a one bedroom villa and not a studio. Only OKW studio is big enough for four people.

But do not book her a BLT studio. Those are tiny.

They are all good! How about showing them the website and asking them which one they would like?

SIL picked OKW. I'm so excited for them. They like the location near dtd and the two beds, parking right out front. I say good choice!

Excellent choice. You have trained them well. ;)

We're also a fan of OKW. Stayed there out of necessity (only availability) once and have chosen to go back since.

Our home resort is BWV or BLT. We love them for location and proximity (especially if we didn't rent a car). But OKW has a great "resort" feel that's hard to beat. They'll love it - especially the extra space. Going back to BWV is going to seem "small" and a BLT studio is going to feel downright cramped for us.

I have trained them well. Truthfully I'm a little jealous. DH just blew out his knee yesterday and it looks like he'll need surgery. I think our ten day trip in Jan is in peril. We were planning on celebrating 10 years together then. Seeing Doc tomorrow and hoping for best, but expecting the worst. Thankfully what ails him is not life threatening (been there in 2009). That's the great thing about DVC, I know another trip will be down the road regardless of what happens in Jan. Prayers would be welcome. Thanks every body.:grouphug:

That's not good news. I hope it doesn't turn out too badly for him. Both of my knees are giving me problems now (probably too much radiation from the full body scans;)) even after having one replaced a few years ago. I'll be seeing my surgeon on Dec 7 and hopefully it won't be bad news for me either. I can use a cane for a few months until after the Disney Marathon in January.
