Hello :goodvibes.
Yesterday i booked a one night standard room at HRH online through a tour operator here in the UK,we haven't stayed there before and i was wondering is there a direct number for me to be able to call to request a non smoking room, and to not be near any dogs, and also to not be put in a room that has had dogs in them?.Do they just keep certain rooms for dogs, and being as though we don't have one we wouldn't be put there anyway?.

How far a walk is HRH to the parks?.

With the express passes,do we just go to that entrance at the ride and show our cards?.
Have been to Universal/IOA many times but this is all new to us what with staying a night at HRH,which we are very excited about :cool1:.

Hope you can help me please, thank you.x.

All rooms are non-smoking, so you don't need to worry there. HRH is about a 5 minute walk. When you get to the hotel, you will be given room keys that you take to the express kiosk in the hotel. You will get your photo express passes done there. You just show them at the express entrance at the rides.

As far as pets are concerned, you shouldn't be put in a pet room. Here's the contact info page for the hotel http://www.loewshotels.com/en/Hard-Rock-Hotel/index/contact

Hello :goodvibes, thank you for your help :thumbsup2.
Good to know it won't take long to walk to the parks.
Thanks for the email,i guess it won't hurt to email them just to mention that we don't want to be housed near dogs?.
Is there anywhere in particular you recommend we could request,i have only paid for a standard room though.

We are hoping to arrive at HRH about 6am-is that to early?.Or will that gives us plenty of time to sort out the express passes and ask them to look after our overnight holdal?.

Also on our check out day,if we leave the parks at lunchtime can we come back to the hotel for a swim?.
Thank you.x.

If early admission starts at 8 am, 6 am might be a bit early. Closer to 7 will be lots. You have access to all the hotel's amenities on the day of check-out for the day. As per room locations, it doesn't really matter. You can just ask for a nice view since you are coming from so far away.

Yes,regular opening time is 9am so 8 am for us.
A little longer in bed will be a great relief for my girls then.I thought 6am may be a bit to early.
I uderstand that Harry Potter is an hour early entry and then you can't use the express pass during the day for that. But what about the extra hour for Despicable Me+Transformers?.Is that also something you can't use the express pass on after your one hour priviledge has expired?.

As for the pool slide,do they let you ride as a 2?,our daughter who is 8 likes to try things with her Dad first before she tries something on her own, would they let them go down together?.Or is it a strict rule of one person only?.

Sorry about all my questions,Thank you.x.

you can check in that early.
i have done so after 6:00am before.

you can check in but your room won't necessarily be ready.

check in, get the ep made, check your belongings with valet, read thru the info/brochures about the hotel, have breakfast at the Kitchen, they open at 7:00.
walk over to the parks around 7:30 and wait until you are let in for early entry around 8:00.

Wizarding World has 4 attractions. Two of them do not have Express Pass; that's the Ollivander's wand shop show, and Forbidden Journey. Those are the things you want to concentrate on (if you have interest in them) during the Early Entrance hour. As long as Dragon Challenge and Flight of the Hippogriff are open (DC has problems waking up in the morning, it seems...those silly dragons) you can use your EP on them, I believe, during that early hour. Of course, will you NEED to use them? Who knows. :)

Apart from those two rides, the ONLY other ride in either of the parks that doesn't have Express Pass is Pteranodon Flyers. Every other ride has EP lines, so once you can hit the rest of the park you can use the EPs.

I don't know when you're going, but the early entrance to US, where Despicable Me and Transformers are, ends with summer's end, I believe.

We are not early eaters,so will grab a Cinnabon about 10ish,cannot wait for one of them again. So the girls will appreciat staying in bed a little longer that morning.
Yes i understand that there is a good chance our room won't be ready.Do they charge to look after our bag, until we can check in?.How much is it please?.Or is it a case of we just tip them for doing so?.x.

But will be checking into HRH one night only,Aug7-8th.Not interested in Olivander's,we done that last time and the girls don't want to do that again, but deffinately want to ride Flight Of The Hippogriff,Forbidden Journey and Husband will be riding Dragon Challenge,so those 3 are our must do's for the first hour then.
Yes September 2nd is when Despicable Me+Transformer's ends.x.

there is no charge to hold your luggage.

if my room is not ready when i check in, i tell them to place my bags in my room while i am in the park.

if my room is ready and valet carries my stuff to the room with me, i tip.
i have read peeps tip about $1-2 per bag the handler takes care of.

i have 2 bags and i tip $5.
but that's me.

Is there a fridge in the room?,If not can you request one for medical supplies?,if yes how much?.My daughter has steroid gel,ice/cold packs for her knee condition.x.

Thank you for the advice :thumbsup2,we will only have one holdall.x.

They only let one person down the pool slide at a time. You can not ride doubles

Thank you for answering.x.

There will be no charge for the fridge since it is for medical reasons. Let the hotel know before you get there and they'll have one put in your room.

That's great news :thumbsup2.Request this through the email you provided me with above?.x.

Yes and if it isn't there when you get to the room, call star services on the phone and they'll bring one up.

That's great, you have been very helpful.
Would they like/need to see my daughter's medication on arrival,or a Dr's letter to confirm that we do need one for medical purposes?.Also being as though we will be arriving about 7am if the room is not ready for us,would they look after my daughter's medication in a fridge,as it will be in our holdall?.
I may think of some more questions over the coming days .x.

Loews Hotels do not require doctor notes or to see the medicine in order to get the free fridge.
