I'm heading to DLP from Belfast on the 31st Aug. I'd like to know about getting the TGV from CDG to the Park (or in the very close vacinty), could any one give me an average price, the shuttle bus doesn't appeal to me.

thanks

Welcome to the DIS. Sorry your very first post hasn't been answered too quickly, but after reading it I have been keeping my eyes open for any information for you. I don't know how useful this informationactually is, as I have always used the shuttle bus and find it a good way to get to DLP, but I found this on the DLP Guidebook http://www.mousekingdom.de which is a great site if you've not already seen it.

Another option is to take the TGV, which stops at the TGV-train-station of the airport located in Terminal 2. Guests arriving / departing at Terminal 1 are offered a free shuttle bus connection to the station - just follow the signs to the shuttlebus stops / the TGV-station. The TGV offers (with roughly 10 minutes only) the fastest connection between the airport and the resort - and is still surprisingly good priced. Depending on day and time the ticket can be cheaper than the VEA-shuttle and even the RER-trip and is never more than just slightly more expensive than the shuttle. All TGV-trains heading into the directon Paris stop at "Marne-la-Vallée / Chessy Parcs Disneyland" which is located at the plaza between the Disneyland Hotel, the Walt Disney Studios and the Disney Village, next to the bus-station from where the free shuttle bus takes you to the Val de France Hotels and the Disney Hotels with the exception of the Davy Crockett Ranch. From there a short walk also takes you right to the entrance of the theme parks.
To check departure times of the TGV visit http://www.voyages-sncf.fr, enter "airport CDG" as departure station and then choose the TGV option among the offered stations. As destination enter "Marne La Vallée" and choose the SNCF option among the offered stations.

Hope this helps :D

Thanks Bexx, that was a great help.

I'll most likely take the TGV, not up for a long bus ride. As long as its not expensive that is.

The shuttle takes about 45mins to get to DLP and then it drops people off at each of the hotels, which can take a while. But you are dropped off practically at the door, whereas you still have a bit of a walk (or a short bus ride) once you arrive at the station. Obviously that isn't a problem if it's just adults, perhaps with older children in the party. But for us, with young children and pushchairs, the shuttle is currently the way to go!!

Did the link work for you - it didn't when I tried it last night, and I was a bit embarrased having posted it. :o From the info I posted from the DLP guidebook, it doesn't sound like the TGV is much more expensive, if at all.

Have a great time

That's much better than my link - thanks CarolA. Just had a quick go at it and the two fares I got were about 7 Euros more than the shuttle.

I love the idea of the fast journey, but my main concern with the TGV is that you appear to book a specific journey time - so what happens if your plane is late?

I looked into this and I seem to recall that you can buy these tickets at the station for about the same as in advance. My plan had been to see what was going on when I got there and then decide. (I wound up just going to Paris so I never used this plan!)

Hiya

I wouldn't bother getting the free shuttle from the train, even with a buggy if you cut through the disney village its only about a 5-10 minute walk even with a buggy.
