Few questions about HRH.

Does anyone know where to find the updated room photos (I heard they were recently renovated) .. also, how much is parking (regular & valet) .. and do they allow walkups? We're leaving in the morning and theres still availability according to AAA so we figure we can just go in and book when we arrive, would that work or should we put in our res tonight?

edit: oh yeah, whats your favorite - milk & cookies or wine & nuts?

I had the wine and nuts last time it it was great! A nice bottle of cabernet with a large selection of nuts, They even sent bottled water with it too. I havent had the cookies in a while but they did used to be great probably still are.

This will be our first time there, I'm thinking about just booking though (its $300ish with taxes) incase something happens when we go there tomorrow .. rather be safe I suppose than sorry .. so it sounds like we can't go wrong with the cookies/milk or wine/nuts combo .. thats definitely good. The photo looks great but the link isn't working, the url cut out some of the link I think. I do recall that photo on ioa though, so it looks great atleast. We have an AAA rate, and I know when we've always tried AAA is soldout, and we're Loews Blue, do you think the chance at getting upgraded to pool view would be high? We're really trying to get a great view if at all possible since we're just staying one night .. thanks again!

Go for the upgrade! Yes ask at check-in for sure, its a wednesday your chances are good.

We're also going to be just staying one night, so I assume that would increase our chances .. plus we're arriving at 8am, so that helps too I suppose. Do you think we should reserve it now, or just wait until we get there? Oh, and do you know the price on valet? I think regular is $12.

Glad the link is working. I don't know the parking prices, sorry. One night increases your upgrade odds for sure. Aim high ask for a deluxe! Keep my fingers crossed for you. I cant imagine they would sell out from now till 8A tomorrow. I would head in there tomorrow and say you are a loews first 'loyal' customer and HRH is your first choice, would they happen to have a really nice room for a loyal customer? You have nothing to lose. Good luck!

I don't think the Loews First loyal customer part would work for us, first timers actually getting to use the Loews First since AAA and AP rates are the same ($270ish pretax) and we're used to the $129-$149 for RPR so its definitely a change. I think we'll just hold off until tomorrow and see what they have in general, we'll bring our fresh Loews card, AP and AAA anyway and see what we can get .. thanks for the tips, I'll check again before we leave around 4am .. gotta actually pack and all the good stuff! lol

fwiw: the milk and cookies look better than they taste...they were dry, "crumby" and messy.....but, still cookies nonetheless.....

hm when we arrived someone said valet was $20 but we went self anyway .. they seemed really busy and some celeb skateboarder (no idea who) was there checking in when we were coming up. we didn't get a welcome gift though, apparently they forgot .. but i wasn't too worried, we had tons of fun and those beds are comfy.

if that ever happens again, not getting your welcome gift, call star service and it will be delivered. tell them the time you want it.

i had to do that twice before.
it was just over looked but when i called they were very apologetic and added more goodies to it.

i had to call in Feb. They said since we checked in early (due to room availability) it would be up shortly. When we returned from the parks to freshen up for dinner, i had the wrong welcome gift. I called Star Services and told them it was the wrong gift. I said we were going out to dinner and star services actually called me back within 2 minutes (literally) and said they would bring correct gift while we were out. By the time we returned from dinner and CW, not only did we have the correct welcome gift, they also left the wrong one.....2 for the price of none ....(switched AAA rate to APH rate before we left...wasn't supposed to get any! )
