Disney newbie here! We'll be wanting to head back to our hotel right after the Festival of Fantasy parade and I'm wondering where would be best to watch the parade. From what I'm reading, the view from on the train station would be good but possibly hard to get a spot. The day we are going is projected as a (2) on the crowd calendar. This would obviously also be good to get out quickly, too but perhaps we'd be waiting a long time for the parade to make it to us. The other option is Frontierland. Looks like it will start there so the wait would be short BUT I'm wondering if we'd be able to make our way out of the park after the parade passed us by with the crowds. I think our last attraction before the parade would be Tom Sawyers Island so the location makes sense in that respect. Any thoughts, oh wise Disney veterans? :)

Catch the train in Frontierland, ride all the way to Main St and find a spot in the station or below.

Following the parade out with all of the parade crowd will be tough IMO.

Train Station if you can get there 1.5 - 2 hours early (for a perfect seat, 30 min early if you're ok with standing). If not, Frontierland

I don't think we could get to the station until about 2:30pm. Any idea how long it will be until the parade passes us by? Trying to figure out how long we'd need to stand. Kids are 4 and 5.5 so they might not have too much standing time left in them by 3pm!

It takes about 25 - 30 minutes to reach Town Square

Begining of the Parade should arrive around 320, and be done by 340.

Train ride is about 20 minutes, so the little ones will have a short rest on the train before they have to stand.

I just read that the railroads shut down right before/during parades. Any idea what time they'd shut down before this one? Thanks!
