Ferry boats to Disney Springs

Has there been any announcement regarding the ferry boats to Disney Springs and when they will resume?

We just arrived today and are staying at SSR. No, the boats to Disney Springs are still not running. We wish they were too.

This is a bit old with not running the ferry’s. We were thinking about a day in the treehouse villas but won’t book there until the ferry is up and running…would be such a long walk over to Disney springs especially if you’re not even in a close treehouse villa.

Waiting. Have Oct split stay: SSR and OKW. Boats to DS would be nice!

I really don't expect to see them running until Port Orleans reopens, as they share maintenance facilities and skipper costs, my understanding is that the service is paid for by the Disney Springs merchants association. Port Orleans may not reopen until mid-October.

POR is scheduled for mid October and POFQ was a week or two later. Hopefully by mid to late October they will be running

Our trip ends 10/13. Maybe they will have the boats running a tad earlier than the actual POR opening date?. One can hope. Not that we can't walk to DS, it's just the boats are a fun addition to any stay at a resort that has them.

I think there’s a good possibility they will start running the SSR and OKW routes a week or two before POR opens.

Quite possible, as they will need to get skippers trained.

Same here. We debated the treehouse villas but with Disney not announcing when or if the boats were going to reopen it looked too far for our family.

There was a posted picture on Facebook of the boats being transported back to one of the resorts. I figure they'll be back with Port Orleans. I wish I could find it, but I'm a member of so many Facebook groups.

Edit: On August 8, a member of the PortOrleans.org Facebook group named Stefanie D'Oria posted a picture of the Sassagoula river boats being transported back to Port Orleans.
