Feels weird booking dining...

Did you call or do it online?
My friend just cancelled online. She had all the reservations under her name. It's super easy to do on the MDE app. It's just sad to cancel it. Lol.
UGH! I do get it! Which is why I'm almost dreading making my reservations, knowing they may not happen!
I would still make them just in case! Cancelling it would be easier than trying to get them last minute if you do get to go.

I just spoke with my Travel Agent. She is cancelling our June trip. She has instructions to book two rooms July or August 2021 at the Polynesian TPV. I feel so strange starting from scratch when our trip was perfect and I was supposed to book Fastpasses in 6 days. Cancelling the ADR's that I worked so hard for is something I am not looking forward to doing, but it is what it is.

I have friends with Covid19 and friends and family working on the front lines right now, so I have nothing to complain about. I'm actually quite blessed.

When are you supposed to go?

My H and I decided our "line in the sand" is masks... we don't want to go (assuming it's open in Nov) if we have to wear masks the whole time bc it's so hard to breathe in them... the thought of being in them for the whole day... or our kids... is too much. Obviously if this became a multi-year event and wearing masks became normal, like it is in China, then we'd reassess... but for now, assuming that aspect of life will eventually go away... that's our line.

September.

I am not sure we have a line in the sand. But, this was supposed to be a once-in-a-lifetime trip, ergo the splurging. Staying at the Grand, not holding back on ADRs. Listen, I love Chicken Guy and could go there every day. That's normally our speed/budget. This was to be an epic Disney trip. So...I'm guessing line in the sand is....anything less. Which means, we'll probably be cancelling.

The only thing we've discussed is the tradeoff between crowds and offerings. If the crowds are very low, it may be worth it to make the trip still happen. But, without the ADRs and the characters and the fireworks and parades....it's just not much of a trip.

Was she instructed by Disney or by you for summer 2021?

Today should be our first day down in Orlando (having arrived this am).

We rescheduled for November and I'm just not excited at all. I can't believe how much I'm grieving this trip that should be happening now.

I finally arranged perfect ADR’s for our trip 8/29-9/2 but then decided to move it to 9/8-9/12. Almost regretting it because I cannot get any ADRs I want now :(

Totally get it. We were supposed to be there on Wednesday. Had amazing ADRs and all the FPs we wanted including MMRR.
All cancelled now. Hoping we can do as well for our October trip.

Ditto for Thursday. We had MF:SR, MMRR, multiple FOP. Dining at Ohana, California grill, California Grill brunch (CALIFORNIA GRILL BRUNCH!!!!), Jiko, Tiffins, Hoop de doo, Cape May Cafe, Jaleo, Sanaa and Tokyo Dining. 😭

I may have completely lost the plot with lockdown but we are copying Tim tracker and are going ahead and filming a holiday video just as before. Attempting to recreate it at home.
I don't even care if I have lost the plot, its better than sitting at home crying about the holiday I've been planning obsessively for a year!

Saturday should have been our first day also. We had our dream trip planned. Today i made ADR for October. There are so many unknowns that it is hard to be excited. And I didn’t get Cali Brunch which was first on our list. I’m sure as things start to open up and get back to “normal” it will be easier to get excited.
