Feeling "wishy-washy." Anybody else do this?

We purchased points at SSR last October, and I'm in the process of planning our first DVC trip. In December I phoned and made a reservation for June 4-11 at SSR. Then in mid-January, I got to thinking that with construction going on, I might want to make a switch, and not stay at SSR this trip. Since we really enjoyed our October 04' trip staying at WL, I decided to phone MS and changed our reservation to VWL. Now, I've been reading posts, and looking at photos, and am thinking that I really might like to try BCV. :confused3

I need to make up my cotton-pickin'-mind and stay with a choice! I know that I will have many years to try them all, but feel like a kid in a candy store, and want to sample them all immediately!

Am I the only one? :wave2:

LOL I have made only one ressie that I have kept so far for our first trip. I made the 2nd one for Star Wars weekend and then decided that I was just not ready to "spend" that many points for a weekend stay so I have cancelled them. At this point, I am just trying to figure out WHAT I want to do with the rest of my points - while saving some for next Jan and Feb. Goodness - someone help me before my brain explodes!

Suggestion - since you've already stayed at WL, why not try BCV, and dine in the other DVC resorts, talk a walk there, spend a day DVC resort hopping, so that you get a chance to mini experience them this trip! Then you'll know where you want to stay next time for sure! :sunny:

That is one of the great things about DVC - all the choices!! :flower: :flower:

Actually, my DH loves staying at new places. Me, I'm just glad to be away from work and in one of my favorite places! I like trying the other resorts and after our trip in May we will have stayed at all on property except at BWV.

Good luck with your decision. But what a dilemma to have!!

BCV is booked for those days in June because we just tried to get BCV for those days. So we are staying at SSR because it is close to TL, our favorite water park. We just got back in Jan from OKW so we won't go there right away (even though I really, really love it there). I think they had availability at BWV, but that's not our favorite place to stay. We were at SSR in October and it was great. We asked for Congress Park again.

Nope, I think I'm the King of Wishy-Washy. Sometimes I feel I'm a little too smart for my own good. My DD25 and I have been planning a trip for next month. Our home resort is VWL, but for a change we wanted to stay at a Epcot resort, so I booked 5 nights in a Studio at BWV.

Well here are my changes -

1) We did an add-on at HHI, so I had some extra points and added on a 6th night at BWV.
2) I started reading this MB and read about all the construction and problems at BWV. Thinking I really didn't want to stay at a resort with alot of construction going on, I called MS and asked if anything was available at BCV. They said no, but put me on a wait list. And then just out of the blue I asked if VWL was available, they said yes and I changed us to there. This was in spite of the fact we really wanted to be in an Epcot resort? Why I did this I have no idea.
3) Went home and told DD25 and DW what I did, DD25 was disappointed. The more I thought about it, I was disappointed also. We really wanted to stay close to Epcot. It is our favorite resort and I could just picture myself wandering over there each evening and getting a nice seat at the Rose and Crown and having a few cold ones. So next morning I called MS back, sorry - BWV is booked up solid. Bummer, the ressie I cancelled sure went fast. Thought about it some more and asked to be put on wait list for BWV in addition to BCV.
4) A couple of months go by, I think well maybe I can get part of the week at BCV or BWV and stay part at VWL. DD25 wasn't wild about moving mid-week, but I talked her into it. So called MS, nothing available for even part of week for BCV (what is with that resort and to think I could have made it our home resort). But I could get 3 nights at BWV. So I made that change. I also asked that we be kept on waiting list for remaining 3 nights.
5) Finally, two weeks ago my wait list request came thru with 6 full nights at BWV. So we're back exactly like we were when I first booked this trip.

Talk about being wishy-washy. And the thing is this type of mess seems to happen each trip I plan. I bet 75% of our trips end up being different from how I first booked them.

:rotfl: Thanks, I need that! So far, we're still staying at VWL. Who knows what today may bring! :teeth:

LOL! Sounds like you need to take an "all DVC resorts" trip! You know, 1 night here, 1, there, etc, etc.!! :rotfl2:
