Feeling of helplessness....more prayers needed

It was bad enough that my 20 y.o. nephew was killed over the weekend in a car accident, and we just got back from attending his funeral in Pennsylvania......and as we were driving back last night, my dear Mom was rushed into emergency surgery! If we had known what was going on, we would've stayed up there!

I can't get too much information from the hospital due to patient confidentiality and all the new HIPAA regulations, and my poor dear Dad, who at age 73 is having a problem with all the medical lingo.

I do know that she is in Cardiac Intensive Care and is stable, but that's all the hospital will release to me....and I can't reach anyone up there to get detailed info on exactly what is going on!

Please say a prayer for my mom, who posts here occasionally as Blondie's Mom.

I am definitely praying for all of you, especially your Mom (who I always get a kick out of from her posts!)

Please remin strong and I would tell you to relax and not worry - but we both know that's just not possible. So - I will tell you that all of your friends here on the DIS are praying and worrying right beside you.
