DS 8 months fell of the bed and bruised his nose [atleast I hope so]. He cried for like 5 minutes but I still feel so lousy. I should have paid more attention but DS5 called and I left him for like 5 seconds!!

His nose tip is red and oozing a bit. I plan on taking him to the doctor tomorrow but he is alert and happy so I did not take him to the ER. He is fast asleep now but It will be a disturbed night for me!!!!!!!

I let ds fall down some stairs when he was that age. I think I cried more than he did!

Oh gosh, it is tough being a mum. Hope your little one is OK and remember to be kind to yourself.
If it is any comfort the guilt never ends when you are a parent. I was 5 minutes late to pick up my 17 year old the other day and he was left standing in the rain waiting for me. I still feel bad:rotfl:

Take care:hug:

Isn't it a passage almost all kids go thru? I let my 3 wk old roll off the couch.. since when do 3 wk olds roll anyway! He was fine. Didn't even cry.. just another passage of life..

DS fell off the couch too. He was under a year old at the time, my mom was sitting right next to him at the time and literally watched him tumble right off! oh, well. She felt worse than he did.
DS also split open his eyebrow when he was about 18 months, I was in the bed and DH has gone to the bathroom and taken DS with him. Well, when they came out of the bathroom DH cut off the light just as DS spotted me and took off running..lights off... trip...thunk.. right on the metal frame for the bed. Bled forever!! (seemed like it anyway) He was fine, but DH never cuts the lights off without having his hand now.

 Hugs for you! It happens to the best of us and as was already said it upsets us much more than them.

When my youngest was 6-7 months old my husband was changing him on the changing table and turned around to grab something. My son hit the floor(carpeted) with the most god awful noise as the air was forced from his lungs.

The hysteria that followed is still talked about to this day. He was fine, we were not!

The fact that the tip of his nose has a boo-boo will allow your guilt to continue until it is no longer there! Those darn constant reminders.;)

Don't sweat it Mom he'll be fine and I hope you got some sleep last night.

My now 22 month old has taken several "headers" over his short lifetime. He fell off the couch when he was less than 6 months old, rolled off the bed when older DS was supposedly watching him while I ran to the bathroom, about 4 months ago he jumped off the bed.

My DS is almost 9 months....and about a month ago I posted something almost identical to this!!! LOL... I still feel bad about him falling out of bed a month later!!! Looks like we've all survived it.... just mention it to the dr tomorrow :)
Hugs and kisses today!!!
