Feel like ive no idea where to look!

Hi all

I'm new So hello !!!

We visited Orlando a few years ago and am beyond excited to be going again this year . I'm a teacher ( so going in the summer holidays - be busy I know !) last time we went I was super organised but not this time . Any way last time I booked my daughter on a pirate cruise thing were she went off for a few hours on a little pirate boat from one of the big hotels . We also did a pirate firework cruise with some of the Peter Pan characters ( again from one of the hotels ) loved it !!!

If there anything else out there like this ???? I can't seem to find anything on the Internet - font know what to type into the search engine . Like little things to do that arnt theme parks ???

I'm sorry, but I haven't heard/seen anything about pirate cruises. If you don't find it googling for it, I suggest you post this question in the "Orlando Hotels and attractions" Forum if it was outside Disney.

Anyway, I'm sure you will have a great trip!

I guess you meant Pirates and pals fireworks voyage and Pirate Adventure Cruises/?

Then Disney Events and tours might be a place to start exploring. But also, if you read the individual resort threads on here you will find outside-the-parks activities and experiences. For example, we liked watching movies on the Wilderness Lodge beach.

Hi Sarah, and welcome.

We're both teachers, so we only go over the summer. (And, to be honest, we love it then. The parks are open forever, and the pool is such a treat in the afternoon!)

Where are you staying? Each of the WDW resorts offers different things. For example, in the Poly in 2008 my girls learned to Hula in the lobby one afternoon; last year they got a hair weave at the Beach Club. (As it happens, both times their brother was in the arcade at the time ) My youngest enjoyed the water volleyball game at the Beach Club last year, while her brother and sister preferred to avoid it while they swam.

To be honest, there's so much to see and do, that I'm not sure you need to search out "special" activities.

How old is your daughter? Is she still young enough to be into princesses? If so, then consider booking a meal at Aukerhaus in Epcot. FIVE princesses will come to your table for autographs and pictures. We like a late breakfast. That way, we can still get to Epcot for Rope Drop-- do Soarin', Turtle Talk with Crush, and Test Track (maybe Mission Space) before a brunchy meal at Aukerhaus. (If she's into it, consider bring along a princess costume from Halloween, and slipping her into it over her shorts before you enter. It will be too hot to wear all day.)

Consider investing in a Photopass (cheaper if you preorder) and stop as often as you can for pictures. You can have lots of fun-- get a picture of her "holding up" Spaceship Earth, maybe getting some of the "trick shots."

Aside from stuff like that, though, don't sweat the "special" stuff. There's so much at WDW that she'll have a fabulous time.

(Oh, but do visit either www.gardengrocer.com or www.wegoshop.com and order a case or two of water, along with park snacks. And consider hitting amazon and getting one or two Misty Mate personal misters-- the 2.5 oz size. They make a HUGE difference!!!)

You're going to have SO MUCH fun!!!

I'm jealous; this summer we're redoing our kitchen, so no money for vacation. But I'm already planning our 2014 trip-- it's a celebration of our 25th anniversary, my son's 16th birthday, my older daughter's graduation from middle school, and my youngest's from elementary school, all within 30 days Beach Club, here we come!!!
