I'm not much of a buffet person..... mostly because I eat way to much and buffet food is typically not the best. However, I love that they have lots of variety and I can try different things. Are Disney dinner buffets better (above average) than most other buffet restaurants?

So I have a decision to make..... what ADR do I cancel and which buffet should I add? Or do I leave the dinner buffet meal out?

Here's my ADRs:
Chef Mickey (breakfast)
Grand Floridian Cafe
Coral Reef
Reglan Road
Tutto Italia (ADR not made but hopefully the'll open it up for ADRs)
'Ohana (this is a must)
Le Cellier (this is a must)

Oh, please no suggestions for Boma....tried that a couple years ago and it just was not for us.

Honestly, I think your ADRs are wonderful. The buffets are nice because there is always and huge variety. My DW is a very picky eater and leaves a buffet full and satisfied. I would recommend Biergarten for its uniqueness, or even Cape May, and if you had to cancel any maybe Raglan Road.

we also enjoy Crystal Palace.....I always try to figure out what is a must for this place and then dont over do it on the carb choices.....that is for my diet. I try to not feel like I need to be rolled out the door........Just happy and contented....hahaha...
When are you going .....that may put a damper on if you can get any buffet ressie and cancel one of the others.....

Everyone is different. We liked CP and we were not impressed with Grand Floridian Cafe.

a 2nd vote for Biergarten (still thinking about it 1 yr later) or if that is too adventurous the breakfast at CP was beautiful. The food was really incredible!

Enjoy!

I would drop the Grand Floridian Cafe.. I found it very disappointing.

What about Cape May at the Beach Club, it is a decent buffet, lots of food..

I think your ADRs look good too. DH is a huge buffet fan so we tend to do alot of them. Our favorites are breakfast at Cape May and Crystal Palace but Beirgarten is also awesome. We are trying Boma for breakfast and dinner for the first time next month.

My two favorite buffets are Crystal Palace and Cape May. I'm not usually into breakfast, so Crystal Palace won most of the time for us.

I will be one who says I cannot stand Biergarten though. We just thought the food was not good at all.

Thanks for the reponses. I should say that yes we have a breakfast buffet, but I'm thinking about adding a dinner buffet.

We will be going Jan 14-21. It will be DH, DS(7) and me.

only buffet we have tried was boma. not a tough decision for us, we did not care for boma either. food was bland, saw too many little paws(and big paws) picking food items up and putting back. for us, too many great places to go and get great food........ohana, le cellier, coral reef, 50s prime time and ohana again........:cool1:

I m pretty picky and do not really care for Biergarten. DH loves it though and so we have ADRs there again this year.

I LOVED Boma and highly recommend it! Much more variety. Though, for a really picky eater, it looks like Hollywood and Vine might be best...seems to have primarily traditional buffet foods.

I was going to suggest Boma as it was the best meal of our trip 2 weeks ago. The Prime Rib was melt in your mouth. But...

We also ate at Biergarten which is good, it's also a bit cheaper and the entertainment is great.

We were pleasantly surprised by H&V when we ate there in May. It was a last minute ADR and we weren't expecting much but it was really good.

I guess this shows how everyone's experience is different. I also ate at Boma almost 2 weeks ago, and although I agree about the Prime Rib, everything else was so-so. My soup was just luke-warm, as were my potatoes, not hot. And my salad, which should have been cold, was also luke-warm. I was very disappointed in my experienc Next time, I'll go to Mara-they have hot soup and they have zebra domes.

Well since you said not Boma, I'd cancel the Chef Mickey's breakfast, and I'd go to Crystal Palace instead. Boma is my favorite buffet on property though.

Thanks again everyone! These are always the hard decisions! I think I'll have to talk it over w/ DH...... he'll just roll his eyes and tell me to pick one!:rolleyes2 . He just does not understand.
