:thumbsup2 You guys amaze me. I have never thought of what I spend inthe grocery store and how much my meals pan out to be. I do think to try to buy cheaply and use coupons to make my bills as low as possible.

While I could never do this I think each of you are doing wonderful.

I know doughboy makes some that are in a can . I have not had them befor but they look oh so good . Next to there cinnimone rolls that are in a can . but I almost certin you could find a homemade version if you wanted to on allrecipes.com

I have to go fix my total as I had to add sauce to my stir fry :)

Sarah

oh I wish they were homemade. But i am a fulltime employee, fulltime student, fulltime mommy, and a part time bartender on the weekends. I barely have the time to breath let alone make something from scratch. So dawn1967, dont worry about your hotdogs, my kids are having them tomorrow for dinner. They already had them once this week. DS7 likes them cut up in mac and cheese, hmm not sure how that tastes but he likes it. Oh but someday maybe i will make something from scratch.... maybe next week while i am on vacation...
I bought them from Pillsbury, the doughboy makes, they are pretty yummy, however, i think i still like the cinnamon rolls w/ cream cheese frosting better.

They are still yummy even if not homemade :) Dh on his cake buying yesterday brought the pillsbury doughboy cinnimone bake its like pull apart bread with 24 squares . They look good but not something I general buy but hey he says he didn't want to come home with only the cake in fear I would be upset and not want it . (pregnant here ) Anyways me and the kids can not wait for Saturday so we can make and eat them :)

So you all made me curious and I calculated how much our dinner the other day cost. It's only 2 adults for this month since my son is away at his grandparents.

Boneless/skinless chicken breasts $2.00
Marinade for chicken 1/2 bottle $.99
Potatoes 4 small $.72
1/2 onion $.50 (I'm guessing here. I have no idea how much I paid)
1/2 bag of romaine for me $.99
dressing $.45 (It's 3.79 for 8 oz, I used a tbsp)
cucumber Free from the garden
1/2 bag of baby spinach $.99
1 clove garlic $.25 ???
olive oil ???

Total just for dinner for 2 $6.89 and that just chicken for 2 of us!! There's no way I could do under $10 a day.
