Hi Everyone,

This is my first time posting but I have been reading the DIS for a while, this forum has motivated me to go back on ATKINS (note the BACK!!) And I am absolutely determined this time, I am asking myself Questions like "why is this time going to be different?" "How can I not fall off the wagon" and even "do I really really want to do this?" Does anyone know where I am coming from with this? I really do need to lose 42 pounds at the moment I am 13 stone (ish) I have fluctuated between 11 - 13 over the last 2 years. For the record I am 5ft 8, I have 2 kids 8 and 6 and to be honest have never been in control since the littlun was born.

Sorry to go on but this is a bit of a cry for Help!!

i have been inspired to do this from you lot, so please help me. I will post diaries as and when I can. I am a busy Mum of 2 and also a Bank Manager full time, with a full time husband to boot PRETTY HECTIC STUFF, not to make excused but does explain difficulty in excercise etc. One bonus for ATKINs is my husband is a Manager of a Meat Wholesale Business so as much steak as I want!!

Well its 9.50am and had scrambled eggs so far + coffee (cant give this up) this is day 3 and really not hungry ........ good sign its working!!

Can any Brits help with tips on where to buy Low CARB snack as seen in the US??
Sorry for the long post but intro's over will keep to the point now on in!!

Hello and welcome, FEEBEE!!!

Sounds like you are off to a great start! You know you can do this, and we will do our best to help you through any potentially rough spots! I think all those questions you've been asking yourself are great - you know that you are with like minded people, so hopefully that will be a bit of comfort and support. Good luck with Atkins! There are so many wonderful success stories here from our low carb friends! I'm sure you'll find it a great way of losing weight and getting healthy!

On a side note, I love Derbyshire! I have a Derbyshire Countryside 2003 calendar on the wall right next to me. This month the featured picture is the Fernilee Reservoir in the Goyt Valley. My Dad is from Sheffield and we still have family over there, so we are very lucky to be able to visit them from time to time. Next year my cousin is getting married, so my husband and I will be renting a cottage (along with my sister) somewhere near Castleton or Bakewell. Well, sorry to ramble on like this in your WISH post...just wanted to say hi! :)

Thanx for that nice to feel welcome!

I live near Chesterfield and I manage a Bank in Matlock, and previously Bakewell, so as you can imagine a lovely place to work, but full of tourists at this time of year so can get quite busy.

Have a lovely time when you are up here, and again thanx for the support.

Welcome to WISH!! You've come to the right place...TONS of support here!!
Atkins has a website, so you can check out possibly ordering some food/snacks...also try posting a thread for it, too!
Anyway, welcome and great to meet you!!

Welcome to the WISH Board!! You will find lots of support and encouragement here, so jump right in and ask away!! We are glad you have found us! :)
