We will be in WDW on 2nd Oct this year from the UK, and I have noticed that day is Federal Day. I would be grateful if anyone could explain this to me, and if that will affect the crowd level in the parks. Is Federal day big out there? Would it be wise to visit a water park and Disney quest (our planned quiet day) on that day or would it not affect it at all? Thanks for your help

I have no idea. It's not even listed in my calendar. Is it a Canadian holiday or American? Or maybe something else? I don't know.

I'm not sure....I was thinking Columbus Day, but that's the following Monday...

I googled that and didn't come up with anything for either the U.S. or Canada, so to answer your question - no, it isn't big, we don't even know what it is :rotfl2: (though I am sure that we are all up for another holiday!)

Maybe they meant that it was happening during their stay, and if so, Columbus Day is October 9, and that is considered to be a federal holiday in the US, meaning that what seems like everyone but myself has it off! :teeth: :lmao:
