Feburary or May?

Hi everyone.

My family and I are trying to decide when to make a trip to DL. My husband is a university prof so we can't really travel between September and April,except for the president's day week Which time is the best to go? We have three kids ( 8, 6 and 3). We are planning to stay at the resort ( DLH) so that we can have early access. We are planning to stay at DL for 5 days and then head to San Diego for 5 days.

Typically February is rainy weather here (even though some years we do not see a drop). It's the luck of the draw at that time and you can either get wet, coolish, or hot-as-blazes weather.

May be a lot warmer, but you have considerable chance of less rain during this time.

Agreed, the weather is better in May. Plus you will have more daylight hours than in Feb.

May is lovely, weather wise and will be far less crowded than President's Day/Week.

May, because you'll have a better chance that certain rides won't be in rehab and the park hours will be longer.

I agree. May. We try to see the park each month (over different years of course-and we almost have all months done), and we loved May. I did do February as a day trip once, and it wasnt bad at all, very nice day. But like other posters said, Feb is just by chance. I have no intentions of trying Feb again. I have never been in Jan., and also have no intentions of trying that month.

My last two trips were in may ( 06 & 08 ) and I found the weather to be perfect in 06 not a single drop of rain and 08 ( last week ) just on one day and then again just drizzling not pouring rain .
When we go back it will very probably be also in may .
