Febuary???

I have not been, but I am going this February (9-21) and we actually changed our dates because we were scheduled to go feb15-26th but heard it was so crowded from President's weekend and the whole week following because people are on break from school....so we changed it to early February (even though we will still be there during President's Weekend) but we figured this would give us a week where it's a little quieter!

Not sure which "break" ur referring to, but we dodge Mardi Gras here in N.O. and go to DW often and always have enjoyed the weather and the light crowds. If memory serves, early Feb and early Mar. is the best. But I've never been when I would consider it crowded or as bad as summertime and Christmas.

Feb 20-28th is very very slow time of the year

I'm not sure if I'm supposed to read sarcasm in that or not.... ;)

The 20th is President's Day, and the rest of the week is vacation for the NE. Having said that, we went last year and are planning to go again this year. Yes it was crowded, but the weather was so much nicer than our August week that we usually take. Get to the parks early, and have a plan. It's very managable.

The earlier in Feb you can go, the better. As others have said, Presidents Week is crowded, crowded, crowded. If it can be helped, I would definitely pick a different week. Obviously being in WDW even during a crowded time is better than not going at all ;) but the waits for rides during Pres week are over 1 1/2 hours, and fastpasses are gone much earlier in the day.

We went on a land and sea vacation last February (the 6th to the 13th at the parks and then on the Disney Wonder from the 13- 17th.) This was before President's Day and it was not crowded at all. The biggest crowd we saw was on a Saturday at MGM when a cheerleading competition was going on.

I was referring to President's Week Break-many schools in the NE have school off for the whole week and it is very busy at WDW. My husband and I did a lot of research and the Unofficial Guide has a list of the busiest days of the year and states that President's Week is up there with Christmas (not quite as bad, but almost!)

Does anyone know how the cheerleaders will affect the business factor? Do they close MGM for a private party? How does this work? Thanks!
