Thinking of going Wed.Feb 11 to Wed Feb 18. So be there for couple days before President weekend and after. OR first week of Feb. Tell me about weather in Feb. thanks in advance.

In 2012, we went 2/15 to 2/22, Wednesday to Wednesday with President's Day weekend being in the middle.

It was ok Wed 2/15 and Thurs 2/16 and then it became way too crowded for us. Never again!!!

The weather can be iffy. We actually had pretty good weather that year...warmer than we expected (shorts weather) with maybe a sweatshirt a few mornings/nights.

I would go in the beginning of Feb if you can.

Hi neighbor(s),

Shoney's advice is right on the mark.. crowds will pick up substantially by Friday the 13th and the rest of your trip will be quite packed.

And February weather is completely unpredictable--you could have warm days with cool mornings, you could have mornings near freezing and afternoons in the 40s....or you could have a little of both or something in between! To get an idea of the weather variables in winter, plug your dates in here to see weather history on those dates going back 15 years:

We were really fortunate, we went Jan 31-Feb 7 and 4 of the days were gorgeous. 80s and sunny (with a short shower here and there). The other days it was cold and rainy. We swam (comfortably). Several of the guys from my husband's work went this winter and they were not to lucky, the ones who went in January had very cold weather and the one who went after us had rain daily

We have been in January when it was 20 degrees and sleeting and when it was 70 and sunny (different trips). On the bright side, you'd be amazed how short the lines are when it is sleeting at WDW! This was in 2010 (marathon weekend) and before Dumbo moved. My wife and daughter were actually allowed to ride Dumbo three times in a row without ever getting off...which at the time, was unheard of!

We have gone in Feb twice , last yr & this past Feb. Both yrs, we had very warm days & very cool days. During the day, the kids could wear tshirts & shorts but early mornings & nights is when we needed sweaters/pants. This past Feb though, our last 3 days were amazing & since we found it too hot for the parks in the afternoon, we took advantage & went in the pool!

We went last week of February this year and it was GREAT! (Previous trips have been in mid-March, April spring break, and first week of May.) The weather was beautiful, mid-70's and sunny the whole time except for 2 mildly rainy afternoons that really weren't bad. It was warm enough to swim every day (we didn't swim every day, I just mean we could have!)

I didn't find that the crowds were bad, but we also made *really* conscientious use of our FP+ and had everything very planned out ahead of time. Just walking around though I didn't think it was super crowded. Crowd predictors were the low end of moderate. We had no problem doing everything we wanted to do multiple times.

I'm planning our next trip for the same time frame so I highly recommend it. I would avoid Presidents Day if at all possible and go the week after. We were there for the Princess Half Marathon and it didn't seem to effect anything as far as I could tell.

I would do earlier in February in 2015. The problem you will run into with your later dates is that Mardi Gras is earlier - February 17, 2015 and it will be mobbed. We went February 2012 and it was great - weather was beautiful, broke a heat record one day, low crowds, etc. In February 2013, we got very lucky with the weather again and hit a record high of 89 one day. That being said, Mardi Gras was early in 2013 and it was crazy, mobbed. All the people expecting the normal lighter crowds were shocked. I wouldn't do Mardi Gras week again. We also did February 2014, and it was colder and rainy most of the time. Everyone was buying ponchos and jackets. The weather is hit or miss but I enjoy it more than the sweltering heat.

We have been going Presidents week in February for years. We stopped because our oldest started college and she wasn't off but we loved the weather then. We were able to swim every year. Some years it did go to the 40s at night but many days it hit the mid 80s. We love that time of year. President's week is crowded especially when it falls near Mardi Gras (that was the worst year) but I like it better than the heat. If you can go the week before I would.
