Not worried about the cold have been in January and March so know what to expect, what I really want to know is the likelihood of snow ? have looked at previous trippies on here and not a lot of snow around in those, I'm not bothered if it snows whilst we're there, have been in March when it snowed, but as this will be a short trip if it comes off wondering what the likelihood of flight delays is.
I'm looking at 16th Feb, week before half term for us, but kids have a couple of inset days and dlp have the most amazing 40% off deal and with Liams
12th birthday in march it will be the last time he gets to visit as a child and qualifies for free hol. :goodvibes

Can you see I'm talking myself into this hol. lol

It would be rude not to take advantage of the 40% offer ....would it not LOL we are going on the 14th of Feb from the Highlands in scotland ....i think snow delays are pretty rare even up here roads and airports only close occasionally even last year when we were in the very cold snap

i would go for it i hope it will be very quiet too and with EMH you could get a lot in every day ... we are doing HNY so early closing may mean for the forst time i might make it to a swimming pool in DLRP.....i guess what i am really saying i;m with you go for it:yay:

We're also going from the Highlands to HNY on the 14th!:wave2: I've also been wondering about the cold but surely it can't be any worse than up here? First time and very excited:yay::

I dont think its any colder than here in February its just you may not spend so much time outdoors usually and standing around....wrap up warm and it will be fine .... nice time for a first time as you can explore everything while its quieter ready for the addiction to take over but by them you will have your bearings

Are you leaving from Edinburgh or Glasgow .... i will be listening out for the local twang now in HNY you will love it though:woohoo:

Neither:) Drive to Inverness then take the sleeper and Eurostar and on the way back it is the Eurostar and then fly to Inverness and then drive up the road - making a right adventure of it all for the bairns and it saves £500 from the flights I was quoted from Aberdeen, Edinburgh or Glasgow:rotfl2:

la la la *fingers in ears* I am not hearing any talk of delays, snow boots at the ready we are also going 14th Feb HNY. We'll be lighting up the bar with Glowtini's :cool1:

14th of february sure seems like a popular date to go:laughing:

Well i am sure we can allow a few more but as long as its not too busy....all at HNY too ... first disney hotel for me so quite excited too

Eilean i have never done the sleeper / eurostar combo before as daft as it sounds it never occured to me ..... did you hear the cogs turning you have got me thinking and that has opened a whole new possibility me for the future that saves driving to central scotland

But must say sorry to Jill i have hijaked her thread .... but book it Jill:yay:
