It depends on what you consider warm. We are from NY, and visit every year during Presidents week. The weather is usually mild, with the average daily high at 73, and the low at 50. I have seen it warmer, and colder during our visits in February, so bring the jackets and the bathing suits.

It can be but its very hit-or-miss. We were there that week two years ago and got lucky with one true swimming day and two others that were good enough for the kids, but other days we were in pants and sweatshirts. Evenings were cool even on the warmer days. You definitely have to go prepared for anything.

Pack in layers! We've gone during February twice. The first time the weather was mild and in the 50s-low 60s. The second time it was in the 30s, and we were not prepared for it to be so cold. It's supposedly rare for the temperatures to be that low, but you never know, and trust me, you'd rather have that extra coat around just in case.

We always go that time of year. Being from upstate NY (Ithaca) and currently in MI, it's awesome no matter what the weather is! I've seen day time temps in the 50's and I've seen them in the 90's. A couple days before leaving, I start looking at the 7-day weather forcast and adjust what I've packed. Of course it's not 100% accurate, but still a good gauge. We do the evening extra magic hours and it can get quite chilly once the sun goes down.
