This is probably going to sound like a really dumb question to you all, but here goes. First, We are wanting to take our kids to WDW but trying to find a good time to go. We want to go close to the time we get our income tax return back, usually around the 2nd friday in Feb. How much on the impossible side would it be to book a WDW trip say 2 wks before the time you wanted to go. Second, When i read that WDW is crowded on the wknd of presidents day, how crowded/ terrible are we talking? I don't want to take the kids out of school and they are out of school the 18th-20th. Which of those days would be my best bet if i am able to book. Thanks!

You could always book now with a $200 deposit, and then set it up so final payment, at 45 days out would be around time you got tax return!

Booking so close to travel time is a gamble because you might have limited choices, but basically, it can be done. Last Nov, my dad and step mom decided to join my family and sister's family last minute, and we were able to get him booked with free dining and everything, at only two weeks out...one thing I've learned planning Disney trips, never give up. I'm always amazed what we can get done with persistence!
