February Waitlist - are you on it?

We're on the wait list for BWV or BCV for February 18-23. We're currently in a studio at SSR, but we're keeping our fingers crossed!

I know it's a crazy week down there - is anyone else pixie dusting for February?

Our waitlist for OKW Sunday Feb 17 did come through already. I am looking forward to that 1 br, the whirlpool tub and relaxation!

No waitlist for us. I had to book a room for Sunday Feb. 3rd and was scared I would be waitlisted after seeing a few threads. Surprisingly the CM booked me into a standard studio AKV for that night. I had to modify my current reservation because we are doing the 3 day cruise. So I just let one night at the AKV for a standard studio for Jan 31 go back.

DH wanted me to waitlist to switch to a 1-bedroom at any resort from a studio at SSR for Presidents' Week, but I decided against it because our reservation is actually two linked reservations, and the headache of trying to waitlist for both of them, and not wanting to move in case one of them didn't come through was too much of a pain. It doesn't matter, though--I don't think the waitlist would have come through, anyway.

For the person whose waitlist opened up for Feb., when did you go on the waitlist? I'm waitlisted for June, 2008. Do they open often?

I am also wait listed in Febuary, but the next week after yours (Feb 24-29). VWL - we have a one bedroom, wait listed for a 2 bedroom.

I'm surprised it's all booked for that last week in February too...I wonder if people extend Pres. week? Being in CT, we always just assume the week that includes the Monday holiday is the one that's going to be booked.

If it makes anyone feel any better about their waitlist (cause I know it does ours), our friends last year booked their Feb. trip the day after Christmas and were able to luck out and get a room (can't remember if it was studio or 1-br) at BWV. Last year, we were waitlisted for BCV or BWV as of August, which ended up coming through for a studio in like October. There's still hope though...and I'm crossing my fingers for everyone!!

We have had reservations since Sept. at Saratoga Springs for a 2 bedroom Villa for 4/19-4/26. We were waitlisted at BCV, WLV, & BWV. I just found out yesterday that our waitlist at our home resort (BCV) finally came thru!!! What a wonderful early Christmas present! Don't get me wrong though - we like Saratoga Springs - but we LOVE to stay at our home away from home!

Now all I need is airline tickets.....The prices are outrageous! Anyone have any tips on getting decent priced tickets out of Boston or Manchester NH for April vacation??? Hopefully the prices will come down soon. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated......

Hi! This is for Love to Travel. I checked availability at OKW for a 1 br in Nov, talked it over with DH, and when I called back to book there was only availability for Mon to Thursday (checking out Friday). Went on the waitlist for Sunday night then, and in December when I called to book AKV concierge for July, the CM said "Your Feb waitlist has come through!." I was only waitlisted for about 2 to 3 weeks.

I think we were successful so quickly because it was OKW and a 1 br request.

I waitlisted today for a 1BR on February 21st, really hoping it comes through for OKW since right now we are booked at SSR and I want DH to see our home resort...

So excited! Right after I posted I decided to check the website, and voila! My waitlist for OKW 1BR came through! We only needed the one night since we check into Marriott's Cypress Harbour for 7 nights the next day, but I really wanted DH to be able to experience OKW!

Well, we're getting closer - just called up to check day-by-day status of our waitlist, and I was able to move to BCV for Monday the 18th through Thursday the 20th! We're still at SSR for the night of the 20th, hoping it pulls through at BCV or BWV. We might have to move three times this trip (staying at the Dolphin on the 21st), but it'll be worth it to be within walking distance of Epcot and DHS.
