We are going from February 8 to 17 2005.What kind of crowds can we expect?

We'll be there the 12th-17th...and although this is my first Feb trip...I've heard it is ok, until after Presidents Day..then it's packed again...

This will be our third Februrary trip (right before President's Day) and we found it to be pretty good crowd-wise. We opted for fast passes and such where we could but as my husband and I grew up w/our parents taking us in AUGUST - I was shocked at the difference.

We went last time in 2003 at the end of February right after Presidents Day
and the crowds were very small (20 minutes wait) so I am hoping that I did not make a mistake by going in early February! What is funny though is that all the value resort are booked on February 11.Some friends of ours were thinking of coming and could get a room before the 11 and right after the 11 on the 12TH.Weird! :cool1:

Last year we went the first week in February, this week (as you can see) we will be there a week earlier, but I can tell you early February is quiet and crowds are minimal. Weather can be unpredictable, so be prepared. I do hear often Valentines Day can be a bit busier, maybe avoid the nice "couples" restaurants on those days like Feb. 12-15. Enjoy!

The weekend before President's week (19-20) is when the crowds begin to build. Daytona weekend - the Sunday before President's day every year. You should be okay. You will just miss the crowds. We will be down there February 11- 18 - purposely to miss the crowds.....

How are the crowds the weekend of President's Day (Feb 18-21)?
Thanks

We will also be there feb. 12-19, Disney considers up to Feb. 17value time for the resorts, after that they change prices to peak. Luckily our resort price stayed value even though our stay extends a bit. I can't wait....... :cool1: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :wave2:

We will be at WDW from February 13-19. I am happy to hear that the crowds shouldn't be too bad! I hope the weather gets nice and warm while we are there! :sunny:

Just called to cancel a PS and the CM told me that WDW resorts are completely sold out from 2/2 through 2/19. He said they didn't know what happened, maybe everyone was just wanting to get away from the snow! We leave Tues morning and were looking forward to some 'wide open spaces' at the parks. Guess we better think again! :sunny:

Noooo!!!!!!!!!! Oh, say it aint so! :crowded:

That's the big reason why we go when we do - low crowds.

Note to self: breathe deeply, think positive.....

Is it all the resorts that ere sold out or just the value resort?Because if this the case I guess we will find out what it means to go to Disney when there is lots of people.Still we will try to enjoy our time there!!!

There is some kind of cheerleading thing from the 12th to the 15th. Some kind of varsity championship. I believe most of it will be at Disney/MGM Studios. I'm sure that's why all the hotels are booked up.

I just posted something about the crowd situation. I do know that the Super Bowl is only 2 hours away Feb. 6th, the Daytona Rolex Races are that weekend and it's also Fat Tuesday on the 8th. Maybe something else is going on??

Oh,

Whom every is driving down I-95, 40 mins. north of Jacksonville and 40mins south, there is major construction, but they are going to open all lanes for Super Bowl weekend. This came from my dad who is a Civil Eng. familar with the project.

I just booked the AKL yesterday for 2/13 - 2/18, so as of yesterday, there were vacancies.

I just checked at Disney.com to see if any rooms were available during our trip(Feb 8-17) and the only day that seems to be the problem is Feb 11.I could have made a reservation for all other days.So I'm starting to relax now.Hopefully that is a sign that we will not experience "summer type of crowds".Let's keep our fingers crossed!!!!!!!!!! :thewave:
