I was wondering if the experts, locals, frequent guests could chime in. Anyone have experience first weekend in February? It is not a vacation week or holiday weekend, it is however Super Bowl weekend, but doubt that matters as it is in Texas. We will be there on a Saturday, the 5th and was wondering what crowds will be like. At this point we are not staying on site, that could change, but for now we are not. We were planning on just Studios, but if crowds are light we might try to hit both parks. I am assuming they are open 9-6. I don't think we will need to buy express passes, but was hoping for some input from the regulars/experts/residents who are int he know. Thank you in advance.

p.s. if anyone has an opinion on the Hyatt Place I would appreciate hearing that as well.

Historically it's not busy in February. HP will increase crowds some but who knows by how much. You should be fine that weekend.

I was there this year on February 6. It wasn't busy, but it was definitely cold!

It shouldn't be too busy,Hyatt Place is a nice hotel, there are two near Universal, one right across the street on Kirkman rd and another one about 5 minutes away closer to the convention center.I've stayed at the one by Universal several times and I think it's excellent, the only negative is that the breakfast area is too small.

Thank you. We can handle cold. Will be 10 feet of snow when we leave NH. So cold with no snow is fine. We may even swim in the heated pools. Thanks again.

Thank you Doom. I think this one is Caravan Road. I appreciate the info.
