We have looked at a few excursions not 100% sure yet. Have some recommendations from friends from previous cruises but so far nothing confirmed....

I posted in here earlier, but forgot to check in. Thanks to SDjen for setting this thread up. Thanks for the welcome CanadianDisneyDad, I think you mentioned you are from Calgary area?? We are from Oakville, ON.

Anyway, CanadianDisneyDad, were you able to take advantage of the Canadian Residents 25% discount offer on the cruise package???, We did and it saved us $906.50 US Dollars. I'm thrilled to say the least.

So, not sure if any families will have a boy around 11, 12 or 13 yo- I think I saw a family from Georgia?. My son Andre, will be 12 at the time of sailing, and I know will surely find someone to hang with as he is an easy going kid (a bit wild sometimes-just likes to be on the go, but easygoing!!-We picked this Itinerary partly for him- he wants to skateboard at the Black Pearl Skatepark in the Cayman Islands on that Portstop). With the KSF promotion now on as well as Canadian Rates promo, we should not have any problems sailing with a good sized group.

Hey all! We just decided today to take advantage of this wonderful offer of kids sailing free so we are going to be coming along for the trip also! We were going to be on the Halloween Dream cruise, but decided this cruise suits us better and is a shorter wait time.

Also, forgot to say we would like to be in on the FE and any other things going on. I can't wait to get going in 5m 3d!!!!! I will be putting the deposit down on the cruise on Sept 9th (a week from today). I'm excited to meet everyone and sail! We are going to be staying at the Days Inn Cocoa Beach the night before and just taking the shuttle. If there is something I can help plan, please let me know. I'm a stay at home mom with too much time to plan! I'm also planning on buying out plane tickets on the 16th of Sept. Hope someone starts chatting soon! This thread needs to liven up some!

Hi again everyone! I have been in the process of moving, and it is always a lot of work. (We do it a lot as my husband is in the Army!) Dizzi- you were right, we were in Germany, however we have just moved to GA, not far from the Alabama border, as my husband has been assigned to Fort Benning! Luvstocruise- my son is 12, and he will be thrilled that there is someone else his age to spend time with. Darren is also one who rarely sits still, so it seems they should get along great!

This will be our 5th Disney cruise, and we all can't wait!

We were able to upgrade to a verandah room with the kids sail free promo, so we are now going to be in stateroom # 7550.

As far as port excursions, we have been looking and discussing, and we might be doing some different excursions through a different company, we have used this company before for excursions on one of the Eastern cruises we took about 2 years ago. The ones we are looking at include a horseback ride along the beach in Grand Cayman, not sure what the other choices will be tbhere yet. for Cozumel we may do an ATV tour with beach and snorkel time, or maybe an off road tour of the mayan ruins with a mexican lunch and beach resort time. There are so many different choices.

On our last Western we did the beach day at Cozumel, and it was great, if anyone is thinking about that!

the next few months are going to fly by, and ion just a couple of months we can book Palo and all the fun stuff! Can't wait!

Hi everyone!

I have tentatively booked this cruise--although DH is not firmly in the "yes" column yet. There is a group of friends from our old church going on this cruise and they invited us to go as well. Hoping to convince DH in the next couple weeks, but wanted to get a cabin reserved with the kids sail free promo. Our kids will be 15, 12 and 8 at the time of the cruise.

We sailed on the Wonder in January when DH returned from Iraq and had an awesome time--well everyone but DH--he said he was bored. Hoping the lure of a longer cruise with more ports, as well as lots of his buddies will convince him to go again.

We did the FE last trip and it was awesome. Kids were excited to come back each day and see what was there.

Just wanted to say "Hi!"

Hello everyone! I just switched our reservation this morning form the M.R. cruise the same week to this one.

My husband and myself have cruised with Disney before without the kids, but we have been on several other cruise lines as a family.
I will have to relook at our cabin assignment, but we have a verandah on deck seven midship.
My husband and I will be celebrating our 10 year wedding anniversary onboard!

The kids are really excited about going on a Disney cruise!

We were planning on using our DVC pts but came to find out that we couldn't use them. My wife really wanted to cruise again with Disney after our great experience on the Disney Wonder in 2007. Thanks to a 25% discount for Canadians we booked and are very excited.

Wow! This thread has been really quiet! Almost at the 4 month mark. Final payment is about 58 days away......

Changed from one category 4 to two secret porthole rooms on Deck 5. Its a little more $$, but on our 4 night we felt so cramped in one room that I think we will enjoy the extra space more than the verandah on a 7 night.

Hi everyone. I have updated the first post in this thread with the new families that have joined.

We are now less than 4 months away from sailing on the Magic Counting the days!!!

JennLK - are you still interested in doing the FE list for everyone?

CanadianDisneyDad - how is the magnet exchange going? Are there many participants? I would love to do it but dont even know where to start with printing magnets

Is anyone else interested in group T Shirts, bracelets, Palo dinner etc... any of the other fun ideas???

If everyone would be able to respond what they would be interested in we can see what we can get organized.

Sorry I havent been responding much - I have been super busy at work but I know that February will be here before we know it (wishful thinking, right??)

I also think it would be fun if we can talk about which excursions we are thinking about. I am still trying to decide what to do and it would be super fun to have some other families on the same ones.
