February 4th, 2012 MAGIC 7 night Western cruise

:sad2:Boy, I've just caught up with everything and I think I'm a little dazed. Everyone is really getting busy with their lists and though I've got one, it keeps changing, go figure! I'm not living up to my moniker.:sad2:

Our plans, though I've made the ressies, are a little fluid at the moment. I blew my back out a week ago and am working on distance walking again. If that doesn't improve, I'll be sideline, BIG time! So, our plans right now include--a walking tour of Key West (trolley is sounding better & better!), gotta have a margarita and I want to see Hemingway's and the Truman "little" White House, Cozumel, we're doing the catamaran, snorkel and beach thingie! In Grand Cayman, we're splitting up, DH is snorkeling and I'm doing the city tour. We have Palo Brunch ressies on the second day and sea and a spa reservation for the first day at see. Castaway Cay is probably low key.

We're booked at Disney the night before and for a couple days after. The debarkation day is MY BIRTHDAY!!!! Yes, the ACTUAL day!

So a couple of questions--what's the final number and breakdown for the FE's? I'm hoping I have enough fillers! Also, are me definitely meeting on embarkation day at the Promenade Lounge at 3pm?

One other question--we're taking the cruise transport from BW and set our arrival time at 12:30-1:00p--is that about right? Can we arrange or change tables at dinners to maybe share meals? Just a thought...

KK

I've got a shopping trip planned next week to purchase some new outfits for the cruise, anyone else shopping for new outfits?

My DH and I usually only take one bag a piece and we usually carry them on the plane so we don't have to worry about the baggage claim, not this time I'll need more space for the FEs and items I purchase while visiting the different ports. Can't wait.

I buckled and went $hopping, lol;)
I think it was Sharon who got me thinking about the photo ops so now I am planning the whole family's wardrobes!
Question: does anyone know the fee to get clothes pressed onboard? I guess I could google it as well
Thanks
:laundy:

We're getting excited about the cruise! See you in 3 weeks!

I went shopping too. In the "outgrown these togs" box. I got into more clothes than I can take with me. Wow, the choices I have! The sad part is once the cruise is over, I don't plan on being able to wear any of them EVER again. By summer I plan to have an EMPTY closet--instead of a closet full of clothes too small, I'm planning on having a closet I had to empty because the clothes are too big. Believe it or not, I lost 15 pounds over the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays!

I couldn't find the 'like' button. ;)
Good for you on the weight loss, especially over the holidays! :thumbsup2

Have we confirmed that this is still happening for 3pm on sail date?
I was just looking at our final FE list and as much as I want to meet everyone, I see that there are quite a few kids the same ages as my DD's. It would be great for them to make some new friends right away as well.
I think my countdown is starting to bug my co-workers but hard to conceal my excitement, lol

I'm in for 3pm. Just get me pointed in the right direction/location. I was thinking the same thing. With so many kids close in ages it would be nice to have met somebody before heading to the Kids Areas.

I just wish I could have lost more. But, there were other things I wanted more--like Mom's Christmas cookies!

I will keep checking our board... I am looking forward to meeting everyone...
I know I have thanked Sharon in earlier posts but I really do appreciate her effort in all of this.
Funny how when you get older and you meet new people via your kids... We fly out 2 weeks on Sunday... we will get our share of the mouse prior to embarking... Can't wait!
:goodvibes

All - please count us in for the meeting at 3PM on first day as agree it would be so nice to have kids be able to have some friends on trip. We are off to finish shopping for FE gifts so thanks to Sharon for final list. We just got all our clothes together and contrary to others I have not lost any weight so fearful will need to shop for bigger clothes...hate that! We are all very excited and can not wait as this is our first Disney cruise. Also I can not seem to get Palo reservations for any date, does anyone know if there will be a chance for me to secure when we board and any tips on how to get a reservation? Have a great day all!

Yes, from what I've been told you have a chance when you get on-board. There are some openings, but they go quickly. Also, you can have your name put on a waiting list. Our first cruise we needed to change our reservation and there were times available. We need to get in line and book some of the tastings--say, anyone interested in doing the wine tasting? I believe there are others as well. Also, I'm interested in their scrapbooking time. So if anyone has similar interests, remember to bring some pictures along. I'll be bringing pics of our Dream cruise last year!

We will deffinately be doing the tastings. Last cruise we did, beer, martini, wine, and tequila tastings! Ummm, that makes us look like lushes.:rotfl2: For $15.00 we got the tastings plus usually a couple/few bonus drinks, well worth the price. Keep an eye on the navigators because I believe they are not always the same times from cruise to cruise.

We are in for the 3 PM meet - where again? Also we are in for the tastings as well. Do we book them as soon as we get on board? :confused3

We are getting really excited now! Just finishing up some FE gifts and some packing - I have been shopping since OCTOBER :scared1: !!! LoL! And I am on the same boat - literally! - no weight loss here :rolleyes1. I just love food too much! LoL!

Can't wait to meet all of you - this is gonna be GREAT!!:cheer2:

That is great 15 pounds during the holidays. I loss 10 pounds but I was sick and couldn't eat for a couple of days, than I gain 5 of those pounds back. Now I'm hoping to lose the 5 pounds again before we sail.

I'm shopping tomorrow and hoping to find some outfits to wear in the dining room, I looked the other day and couldn't find anything I liked. BTW, what are you guys wearing during pirate night? I can't find anything.

I'm going to be busy the next couple of weeks. Just starting making our FE to hang on the fish outside our door, plus I've just starting working on our magnets for our door. I'm not doing to many magnets, just a few so they shouldn't take to long, on top of working, packing, shopping and finishing up my FE packages, I'm going to be busy.

Can't wait to get onboard and start our Disney cruise vacation and meeting all of you guys. Not long now.

We are all dressing up in pirate wear. pirate:
Coincidentally, I dressed up as a pirate for Halloween this past year and my DDs have done so in years past so we are set.
I am just hoping we have enough time after our ship excursion to get ready I also hit a dollar store to buy some accessories but you could probably find something at a costume store. Someone mentioned on this board that they sell merch onboard as well but might be more expensive

Hi Sharon, do you think that the FE map will be ready before the 29th? I ask because that is when we leave and I am not sure about our Internet access before we embark. :woohoo:
Thanks!

I wouldn't say lushes, more like a good time, haha ;)
We hope to try these as well, not sure about tequila - lol
