All work and no play....gets me WAY behind on the disboards! Although I have to confess that the work has been somewhat distracted attimes with vacation planning .
I just spent the last hour reading up on everything I missed. Welcome to all the new-er posters! We finally got our room number this week and we have an inside sideways room. Has anyone ever experienced one of these before?

I have been avidly working on our FE gifts at night and just a hint, rum and beading does not mix!

Now that we have our super fantastic graphic, I am going to make door magnets!! They will either be printed directly on magnetic paper, or on heavy card stock then laminated, with magnet strips on the back. Depending on how I am able to save and enlarge the image, I will probably make them about 6"x6".

I am happy to make one for anyone else who would like one. Please just PM me with your cabin number and I will stop by and stick on your door sometime on our first day. Please send your request by January 31, and I will post a list here to make sure no one gets forgotten!

Just a reminder that today is the cutoff to participate in the FE. It is growing so we are definately going to cut it off and we may do some designated delivery times...I will let you know.

Thanks for all the hard work organizing the FE! Now I have to figure out what to do. I only have them 75% done but need to come up with something else. What to do, what to do!
Sitting at work (3:50 am) and it is slow, which is nice but my mind just keeps on vacation planning. I need to turn it off! I feel like there is just sooo much to do! Slowly but surely. I haven't booked any excursions as I am really unsure about these (never cruised before). DD is 3 and alot of the activities don't allow her to participate soooo I think we will go to the beach and do some shopping but that is about it. A few plans for the DH and DS, who is 10, at Castaway Cay but that is it. What are everyone elses plans?

I haven't booked any excursions as I am really unsure about these (never cruised before). DD is 3 and alot of the activities don't allow her to participate soooo I think we will go to the beach and do some shopping but that is about it. A few plans for the DH and DS, who is 10, at Castaway Cay but that is it. What are everyone elses plans?

We didn't book any excursions last year before getting on board and ended up just doing one organised trip on Grand Cayman which was a semi-submersible. DS was only 4 so a lot of the excursions were not really suitable. We went ashore at all stops and found things to do in each place for a while - Margaritaville in GC was great with the pool on the roof, as was the toy factory in KW. (It was the west carib cruise). This time we have booked the beach trip on St Thomas and are probably going to hire our own vehicle on St Maarten and make up our own tour / beach visits. I think DS is mainly interested in the beach (even though we only live 3 mins walk from the beach!!). The weather / water is a lot warmer in the Carribean. We found tendering no problem with DS - the boats were a lot bigger than what we are used to clambering around on at home!

I am now in the "starting to dream that I have forgotten something" phase of my planning. It's the best, and the worst! We are doing Bernard's Tours in St. Maarten, and haven't decided yet if everyone will go ashore in St. Thomas. I will definitely hop off the ship to buy liquor, but we kind of like having the pools mostly to ourselves while everyone else is on their excursions. 37 days until we are Magic Kingdom bound!

We only have one, St Marten tour

St Thomas, Buy liqour and maybe back to ship possibly ride up side of mountain

On CC we are doing nothing, we will probablly take a long walk and explore the island and go back to the ship.
I wish they had Great snorkeling....

Received our Magical Express tags/tickets today!!! It is the first real sign that it is getting close!

Mommymedic we have no excursions booked either but are hoping to get to some beaches with the kids. How hard is it to get a car/cab on your own?

I have been reading the threads on the changes to the Oceaneer Club/Lab policies and am a little worried now about the boys being mixed in with bigger kids. My DS3 is a tough nut and would probably be fine, but do I want him to just 'be fine'?

And, don't get me started on the Kids Club thing. From what I can tell, it's not nearly as bad on the Magic as on the Wonder, so I think we will be ok. I think the people who have MR cruises coming up are totally getting the shaft. And please don't judge me by my little exchange with a certain obnoxious poster over on that thread. I promise I actually love all kids and my own is not a spoiled brat.

I will be happy to make a magnet for you. I just need your stateroom # so I can leave it on your door. You may have missed FE sign-up by a few days, but Emmysdidi can let you know for sure either way. Also, I think we are going to have at least one meet once we are onboard, so stay tuned for that.
