So happy to have a Facebook group! Thanks for starting it! And I'm incredibly excited about the cruise, especially now that we're getting regular updates & posts from current cruisers. Can't wait to see the adults only areas!

WooHooo!!! Just paid our deposit!

We're the Slakoff (pronounced Slaykoff) Family in Cabin 8516. Our cabin will be me (Leslie), my husband (Matt), my mother-in-law (Marcia), my daughter (Lily - she'll be 9 when we cruise) and my son (Brady - he'll be 4 and a half when we cruise). We have a bigger group (17 in all) but I think our cabin will be the only one doing the Fish Extender exchange!

We just got off the 3/18 Dream and it was fantastic! We are so excited to cruise on the Fantasy and a highlight for us was the Fish extender exchange so we're definitely doing that again!!!!

I'm off to join the Facebook page!!!

Oh, and I have cruised this itinerary before...I think it was on Royal Caribbean about 7 years ago. I don't remember much about San Juan but I've been to St. Thomas a number of times. Hoping for a fun beach excursion...maybe on both islands!!!

Amanda, Fish Extenders are (literally) a pouch that you hang over the fish next to your stateroom number. The pouches are used to exchange small gifts with other cruisers. If you sign up for an exchange, you're signing up to exchange gifts with everyone else in our group. It's a fun way to get little gifts throughout the cruise and to meet your fellow cruisers

There's a very long thread on the main page (http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1219607) that talks about FEs. There are also lots of threads with ideas for gifts and for FE pockets. We sewed ours (and I'm not a talented seamstress!) before our cruise last year!

When we were on the last cruise, some of the participants shipped their FE and gifts directly to the Port Canaveral terminal so they didn't have to pack it in their luggage. I think it was reasonable cost-wise and pretty convenient, especially if you are an American. Doing it from Canada would have been more expensive plus it has to clear customs.
For gift ideas, there was a lot of pirate trinkets to use for the deck party. People got very creative in making magnets, foam frames, key chains, mousepads! wine charms, etc. Some people gave away items to reflect their hometowns.
We gave away candy, gum, Disney and pirate tattoos, full pkgs of glow bracelets, recipes and Winnipeg Jets trinkets.
I have already started collecting for this cruise! I know that we loved doing the FE and was so appreciative of every little gift. It was great to come back to the cabin and find those surprises.

Be careful shipping. My wife did it and they never made it. The person at Disney gave her the wrong instructions.

Yippee we are excited to be sailing in 309 days!!
My name is Cindy and I will be traveling with my son who will be 12. Also part of the crew from Martha's Vineyard with flymv ready to do some island hopping! Hello All... My name is Jamie, and my family (DH, DS - 8 and DS 7) is also booked on the Feb 23,2013 Fantasy Cruise! We sailed on the Dream a couple of months ago, and are super excited to explore the Fantasy, and more places in the Carribean!

We have other family and friends joining us on this cruise, and are looking forward to meeting many new people too .

If anyone has any tips on where to research San Juan excursions, I'm all ears!

We just made a reservation for this week. It will be me (Lori), my mom (Fran) and my niece Lexi who will be 7 on the cruise! Looking forward to meeting everyone and going on the cruise! First Disney cruise ever (been on RC a few times). FEs sound like so much fun...already thinking about what to do! Just sent a request over to facebook page too!
