That's right folks......I just might ship my pants....In more ways than one.

Welcome to my Pre-Trip Report.

I know what you're thinking
Ship your pants? Yes, in the literal sense...pants take up way to much room in luggage. (I learned that the hard way in January 2010 when I didn't bring enough pants and about froze to death.) Why not ship your pants? Everyone should ship their pants. Well, according to Kmart at least. And yes in the silly sense...I'm about ready to crap myself due to the excitement.

Ahead of time I do want to thank each and everyone of you Dis'ers that stop by to read and comment. I'll do my best to keep you entertained and fulfilled so that you won't lie awake at night wondering what I'll be doing 188 days from now. If at any point you don't feel like you're getting your money's worth......well......uh.......keep it to yourself. Just kidding. If you like what you are reading you can shout it from the mountain tops...oh, and leave a comment here, ask questions, or voice your concerns.

I suppose I need to get on with the who, what, when, where, and why of this PTR so you can figure out if you want to continue on this little journey with me. I know that the OP's first post is what makes me decide whether to continue reading. So as Mickey says: On with the show!

I guess I'll go in reverse order:

WHY? Uh.....does anyone need a reason to go to Disney? I think not. None of the people on this trip have been to Disney except for me. Also, there is a rental convention going on at the end of the trip that two members of our party will be attending.

WHERE? Uh, Disney. Well I guess you're probably wanting a bit more. Our Reservation is for Coronado Springs. The boys who will be joining us picked Coronado, so I let them have their pick! But with this change happy group who knows where we'll end up.***Changed to Port Orleans French Quarter as of 7/30/13***

WHEN? February 2, 2014 - February 9, 2014

WHAT? Disney Vacation with Disney Virgins (yes, they do exist). Apparently I am the travel agent for this group since no one knows anything about Disney.

WHO? Well here is a disclaimer.....there are no children on this trip (unless you count me who often acts like one). We are a group of 4 adults and all of us are gay. Yep, I said gay. 2 guys and 2 girls. So you can choose from the following
1. Continue reading and actively engage in this PTR like the Disney lovers that I know.
2. Continue reading without engaging and just be a lurky-loo (I'm so guilty of that-come on, you can at least say Hi!).
3. Continue reading without engaging to see how the "other side" lives (We eat, breathe, and love Disney just like everybody else).
4. Stop reading, keep your comments to yourself, continue on with another PTR's, and forget that you even read this.

OK. And now back to our regularly scheduled PTR: February 2014 PTR: I think I might ship my pants.

WHO? Like I said, there are 4 of us.
Me: I was fortunate enough to grow up on Disney. My first trip was when I was four weeks old. My parents will tell you they threw me in to the water at Disney's River Country, and that's how I learned to swim. They'll also tell you on that same trip I fell through the slats on the lawn chairs and slept face down in the sand. That lack of oxygen may or may not have affected me long term. I don't remember all the trips to Disney or where we stayed but here's what I do remember....
A. Back in the day there only used to be 1 Disney Dining Plan. The Deluxe, and boy was that a ton of food. After each meal they would give you mints, like Andes Mints, I would save the uneaten ones and put them in my fanny pack. Yes, fanny pack-you better not be laughing. Obviously I didn't take in to consideration that 100 + degree heat would melt the chocolate in said fanny pack. Needless to say it ruined the fanny pack (thank goodness) and the the camera I had in there. Apparently I was licking the chocolate off of the camera in hopes of bringing it back to life. Didn't work.
B. One trip we stayed at the Polynesian. My brother and I were at the ages where we got along but refused to sleep in the same bed, so I slept on the couch. I threw up all over the Polynesian's couch. We had eaten at the Mexico Pavilion that night but I have no idea if that is what caused me to be sick.
C. I ate quail at Victoria and Albert's back when all the servers where called Victoria and Albert. What the heck were my parents thinking in taking us to that place. I think they have banned kids now.
Most appropriate Disney name: Alice from Alice in Wonderland...but you knew that didn't you. I'm curious, gullible, easy to please, but I have a quick temper.

My Partner in Crime. She grew up in the Florida panhandle but never visited Disney World. She isn't a Disney person YET! I'm hoping that will change with this trip. Most appropriate Disney name is Sleeping Beauty. This girl can sleep. Anywhere, any time, standing up, sitting down...it doesn't matter. She could sleep all night, then sleep all day, and then sleep all night again. Which sucks for me because I am not a sleeper and I am definitely not a napper.

My Bestie in Crime! I've known him for ...... 15 years. We don't get to see each other as often as we like but when we get together it's like time hasn't passed and we never miss a beat. I'm shocked that he hasn't been to Disney but I am so thankful that he gets his first Disney experience with me. Disney name: Wall-E

My Bestie's Partner in Crime, and my boss for my part time job. Super funny, out going, knows how to have a good time, but when it comes to business he doesn't play . Disney name Buzz.

The most appropriate Disney names came from the pictures I chose on MyDisneyExperience. (With the exception of sleeping beauty. She wasn't an option so I had to choose Snow White, who to be fair, did go in to a deep sleep).

So that's all of us: Alice, Snow White, Wall-E, and Buzz.

Stay Tuned as I wander through all of the responsibility of planning this trip.

I'm in. You had me at...Ship.

I crack up every time I watch that commercial, it's hysterical. So your PTR name got me. And who doesn't like virgins? :thumbsup2.

I just started my first PTR last week, should be interesting.

Yay! My first subscriber! Stoked! Hopefully I'll be able to entertain you for the next 6 months. Oh gosh. That sounds like forever! Well, I'm glad you said hello and I'll add another installment tomorrow. I'm gonna need all the help I can get! I'll join your ptr tomorrow when I get on the regular site(not mobile).

Sounds good.

Travel Agent Alice, reporting for duty!

To keep it lively during the boring months of obsessive planning and schedule changes, I'll add some of my personal life to this party, I mean Pre-Trip Report, and hopefully get some pictures in as well. Just an FYI I work a full time job, a part time job, and go to school part time. I also get together with friends and or family at least once a week. So it can get pretty crazy around here. I have a strange sense of humor and can pretty much make anything in to a joke or something dirty. I'll do my best to give you the right amount of funnies to fulfill your day.

So as I said before I have been awarded the title of Travel Agent and I am taking on the daunting task of planning this trip. Super Nervous! The only thing I am not planning is air transportation, as the boys are tackling that job. Sleeping Beauty ( my partner in crime) will be handling nothing as she will probably be sleeping. I'll tell you this is a weird but powerful position to hold. I finally get it. I now know the feeling of those mothers (and dads) out there who are planning the trip by themselves for their entire family. Every decision you make you have to consider is so and so going to like this? At what point do you say screw it, and stop caring whether they will like it or not? These are adults! It's not like I can tell them to sit down and shut up. The pressure is on! Thank goodness we aren't sharing a room.

And we already have a change! Change #1

Well that didn't take long!

So the boys, Wall-E and Buzz, called last night after looking at the resort maps. They decided they wanted to change resorts. Guess which resort? Port Orleans-French Quarter! The resort I wanted to stay at originally. YAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY! So excited! I am the happiest girl in the world, getting to take my 3 most favorite people to my most favorite place! All is right with the world! I called Central Reservations and they changed us over to POFQ. Woo-Hoo!

As usual life gets in the way.
I live in Virginia, wine country of the east. There are at least 15 wineries within 40 miles of my house. King Family Vineyard in Crozet, VA has polo every Sunday. You know, like Pretty Woman, "Well done", polo. My parents joined us along with a bunch of friends for a total of about 15 people. We had the best time ever! Everybody brought a dish or snack or something to share while we enjoyed the sun, festivities, and company. And at half time we totally got to fill the divets and "avoid the steaming divets". We lucked out and instead of just one game there were two games being played. The first was by professionals and the second was a scrimmage game for the University of Virginia. The field was huge and the game moved quickly. It was over before we knew it. Afterwards, sans parents, we headed to a local brewery to top a day of wine drinking with some beer. Wow, we sound like a bunch of alcoholics. Unfortunately my forehead is peeling now and I look like some sort of monster. Nothing a little moisturizer can fix. The peeling I mean.....not the monster part.

We plan to go again in 2 weeks but may head to another winery for the baseball playoff event they are hosting.

I really need to figure out how to upload the pictures I took from my phone to photobucket so I can post on here. Is that the only way to add photos on here?

To Dinner Plan or Not to Dinner Plan? That is the question.
Every time I've been to Disney we've used the dining plan. I know. I know. Everyone has their own opinion about the Disney Dining Plan. Personally, it's much easier to know that everything is paid for and taken care of. One less thing for me to worry about. I think the dining plan for my group is the right choice. And because this is all new to them they don't realize how important a reservation is. They think I'm crazy for needing to make reservations now. Silly Disney Virgins!

Where are we going to eat 177 days from now?
Monday was my ADR window. I woke up at 5:45am to get myself ready. 6am arrives and I run in to a snag with the online reservation system, so I call in. The message quickly alerts me that they don't open until 7. Why in the world did I think it was 6am??? So I patiently wait until 7 and try again online. Again, problems. So I call in again and I am alerted by a prerecorded message that the system is down and the cast members aren't able to make reservations at this time. So at that point I go about getting ready for work calling in every so often just to be greeted with the same message. I finally leave the house to run errands and decide to call in again. YAY! I get through! YAY! So here is what we got:
O'hana (Polynesian)
Sci-Fi (Disney's Hollywood Studios)
Coral Reef (Epcot)
Boma (Animal Kingdom Lodge)
Chef Mickey's Character Breakfast

We have 2 more to make. One at Epcot that we'll eat at before we drink around the World, and a date night some where at Downtown Disney or a Resort (meaning not in a park since it's our non-park day). The boys chose Fulton's and I'm not sure where we'll go. Probably Ragland Road so we can meet up with the boys afterwards for drinks. I guess we'll see......
Who wants to take bets that this list will be exactly the same in 6 months?

I vote for Via Napoli at Epcot and Raglan Road (one of my favs) or Shula's (another of my favs).

Hi hi! I'm also in! You had me at... February, actually! We're going on the same time period, yay ;) I'll be leaving my home country on the 1st, and arrive on the 2nd (sounds like I live in Pandora or something). Excited for the cool weather, low rates, but not so much for the tour groups - or so I've heard.

Question, since Feb park hours are not up yet, how did you decide your ADR dates? Or you just don't care for crowd calendars?

I'm also doing a PTR, so maybe we can compare notes? Can't wait to read more! :)

Just read your intro and had to let you know I'm in! How could I not be with a title like this one?!? For awhile there, I'd watch that commercial on YouTube several times a day, and, because I'm so immature, would literally laugh out loud at it every time! Seriously, how am I an adult?
Also, I moved away from my best friend about 11 years ago and we don't see each other nearly enough. But, when we do, it's like we just talked yesterday so I totally get that with your friend. AND--our next trip is in January and we're staying at POR, so of course I want to read all about what you guys are planning to do!
So, thanks for the laugh about your pants. I'm off to read some more......

Just wanted to add--I think photobucket (or similar) is the only way to get pictures on here. What I did was add the photobucket app to my phone, upload pictures from my phone to there (super easy and quick) then I edit my pictures there (I usually resize them smaller cuz they always seem super big) and can copy them from photobucket to here. If you find an easier way, let me know!
