Also watching and waiting for the Feb discounts here! We are hoping to go Feb 23-March 1st, and a room discount is usually the best for us. Does anyone know when the discount blockout dates are usually for February? I know it will probably be the week before with Presidents' Day week and the half marathon, but wondering if anyone knows what day of the week the discount dates resume? We had to move our vacation days around last time in November, because if blockout dates around thanksgiving. I think the discount dates resumed on a Monday and we were booked the day before on a Sunday so we had to push the dates one day forward..

Has anyone ran the numbers on this? I have read about people reporting that the s/p/d was less expensive than booking the room alone. I am just wondering if that is the usual or what? I already have the tickets for WDW, room booked with AAA discount (for now) and was planning on purchasing groceries and only a few Character meals. I plan to check out the discounts when they are out but just wondering what other Dis peeps have experienced.

I have been looking for airfare daily. Trying to find the ideal times AND price is a little bit stressful. We are coming from the West Coast so the option of driving is eliminated and the flights are so LOOOONNNGG but I am trying to limit the very long lay overs. Anyone else having any luck?

P/s/d must be booked as a package with tickets and dining.
You pay rack rates for your room. There is no discount on the room pricing.
Adults pay the child prices for both the dining plan and park tickets.

For P/S/D you can upgrade from the QS to DDP
You would pay the difference between the actual prices of Adult plans
$55.59-$37.58 = $22.41 upgrade cost
plus $14.32 QS Childrens meal plan cost
= $35.74 approx for the DDP

Actually I not sure this is completing correct. I had a pin code for P/S/D and called on Sunday (the last day for the pin) and made a reservation for Jan at Pop and upgraded to the regular dining plan. Afterwards, I tried to figure out the numbers and they didn't add up (I know I should have asked while I was on the phone!) which was like $250 more than I thought it should be. I called back to get the breakdown because I knew the Pop rack rate, and the ticket costs so the only variable was the dining plan. The CM tried to figure it out but she couldn't either. So she put me on hold for literally 20 minutes before finally coming back to say she wasn't allowed to give me a breakdown. By then I was pretty mad and asked to speak to her manager. The manager came on and said they don't give breakdowns and now I was furious. So I pushed back hard and she begrudgingly admitted the the dining cost is figured by subtracting the child QS charge from the adult DDP charge which was a difference of $42. I asked her why and she said "the marketing department had decided this." Needless to say, I was very upset that they resisted so strongly giving me a breakdown. If they are going to do this, they should at least admit it (and advertise it). I called yesterday to cancel since the savings weren't very signifcant and I was more than put off by the whole experience. I think we will now just wait for a room only discount.

Yeah, not sure what Disney is thinking on that one! What dates and limitations did that pin offer? It must be different than others somehow. I would think? Did you receive it via mail or email?
I wish I got it, are you sure my name isn't on it? LOL ...February is actually my back-up date, I'm aiming for November, if I can get myself FD tomorrow!

Thats what was the breakdown from our Jan 2013 trip as well. I didn't think that changed.

Thanks for the good luck wishes, I'll need it trying to get POR R! My husband would be happy though as he wants to go in February to break up our PA winter a bit. I just want to grab FD so if it comes along for the first date, I'll take it! That and I'd like to see everything decorated for Christmas too! : )

We are going Feb 20th to Mar 1st and I bought our airfare for $302/pp roundtrip, nonstop both ways. I thought I would be able to get it a bit cheaper, but that was before we decided to fly back on the Saturday. I'm happy with what we got!

Glad to hear someone is having good luck! I wish non-stop was an option for us...or maybe getting out to strech our legs isn't such a bad idea for what would be a 7hr flight

Yes, I had the right rack rate and ticket prices. The CM confirmed this and she couldn't figure it out either. It is only after she talked to the manager (and then I did) that we figured it out. The CM seemed rather shocked. The manager blamed it on the marketing department. I guess they figured out one more creative way to get money out of people. What really upset me is that they were trying to hide it and wouldn't give me the breakdown. The manager definitely said it was $42 a day.

Yes, it was free dining the year before.
It will be Play/Stay/Dine again...pins have gone out for it already!
Not as good as free dining but better then nothing I guess!

Indeed it is better than nothing. We're looking at $6500 this year (10 days) vs. $4660 last year (10 days) and $3660 the previous year (8 days). Fingers crossed that the current pin code deal will be released to the general public. Any idea when the current pin code expires? Was it September 15?

Last year it turned into a GP offer bookable Oct 10 th..so it should be about that time again. I wish it was earlier.

I think it is the 15th.
It will go from Pin code to Disney Visa offer then to GP offer..
