February 2010 code watch

It appears to be that that particular agency bought a block of rooms and get a discount for doing so. They'll pass that on to their clients.

i'm joining this watch as we are officially going early Feb 2010...probably feb 6-13. there could be a real small chance we would go jan 2010 but my sil has to take her boards to be a veterinary asst and it would be middle Jan and my mom and I can't go end of Jan bc of work...so most likely early feb...plus maybe the weather could be a little bit warmer but not extremely hot!!

Count us in too!
:cool1:
Crusing on the Magic-Western Feb. 6th to 13th.

Hoping to stay in Disney a few night before.

Last time we were in Disney in Feb we were wearing jackets :scared1:and jeans!!!
It was so cold! That was in 2002 or 2003. We usually go in March or April now.

Here's hoping for some good weather and even better discounts!

I have been 3 times in the month of Feb and you can have any kind of weather. We never to to WDW in Feb without our polarfleece jackets, hats and gloves, seriously! However last time we went in Feb we had amazing weather so I'm keeping my fingers crossed for that again in 2010.

hats and gloves? :scared1: This trip will be interesting for us because we've only been during warm weather. September was waaayyyy too hot, and we just went in April and the weather was perfect: high 80's, not a day of rain, and no humidity yet. I'd go in April every year, but due to my child custody schedule, I'll have my DD in April one year, and Feb the next, etc. So every other year I'll be going in February. It might be a nice change to tour the parks more comfortably though. But hats and gloves? :scared1: :lmao:

Does it rain a lot in February? I can handle cool weather, but cool weather and rain...not so sure. I'm going anyway, but I guess I need to prepare myself :goodvibes

I did get a Pin for the extended free dining, but unfortunately, it only went through December...so I'm hoping that maybe something else might come around in a few months? Let's cross our fingers, seems like Disney is coming up with a lot of deals through the end of 2009, and maybe it will continue for us in 2010. :wizard:

We used our hats and gloves mostly at night, one trip it was at Fantasmic and another couple of nights at Epcot (gets chilly and windy around that lake). We had one rainy trip, but hey just put your poncho on and go.

We usually plan a waterpark day, we make an itinerary but are very flexible so we go to TL or BB on the warmest day of our week. One time it was clearly going to be the first day so we scrapped our plans for MK and went to BB, we were glad we did because it never warmed up past 70 again that week. But last trip we had mid 70s to 80 the whole week! :cloud9:

Okay, so we JUST got back from an amazing 10 days at the GF! What does DH tell me just now, he wants to go back to WDW for his 40th Birthday this February!! Seriously, the entire family thinks it's ME who wants to keep going to WDW, it's really HIM!! :rotfl: I've been trying to get a caribbean vacation out of him for years!! :rotfl2:

So we're looking at the last week of Februrary 2010. He's BIG 4 0 is 2/26. :cake:

I'd love another 4/3 deal. I'm thinking of the Poly this time, that's as close as to tropical I can get him! :lmao:

As for weather, we've gone the beginning of Feb and the weather was crazy!! You'd wake up to frost, then it would hit 80 by noon then back to 40s by evening. Extreme!!:scared: I'm hoping for comfortable April-like weather in Feb :rotfl2: I can dream right!

I shouldn't complain about cold weather in WDW, we had a heat index of 105 there last week! :scared1:

I would definitely prefer cooler weather (heck, even hats and gloves) to really hot weather like you said. When we were there in September, it was the same for us with the heat index, plus the exhausting humidity. It was our first vacation to WDW and we attended the MNSSHP, so it will always be a special trip, but that heat killed us. There's not much you can do about it and we didn't spend much time in the parks because we felt like we were melting! At least in February if it's cold, you can bundle up to warm up and still enjoy yourself. We're from NH, and one of my favorite local theme parks is Santa's Village. We went last December and it was 27 degrees during the day :scared1:. We wore multiple layers of clothing and put toe warmers in our boots. It was really cold, but we still had a great time :)

Of course, it could be cold in Feb, but our last trip in 2008 was the first week of Feb, and we wore jeans and t-shirts, with polar fleece sweaters for some nights after dark, but DH never wore one, and even wore shorts some days, as did my son. We swam one night, no problem. Most days got up to the low 80's, I think one was the high 70's. In 2004, we wne t on MLK, same temps. So it could be cold, but it could also be just right! :goodvibes

Hi Everyone. Another FEB 2010 code watcher here.
We're currently booked for Nov 30 - Dec 6 this year, but we may have to cancel. So, 2nd week of Feb 2010 is our Plan B.

Was the 4/3 deal available in feb this year? I hope they repeat this offer next year.

We are going in February for our 17th wedding anniversary without the kiddos. We are buying our AP's this August, so I am looking and lurking for a room only or a great package deal.:woohoo:

We're planning for Feb 3rd to the 9th, with 5 of us going, any discount would be awesome!

Count me in, would like a Yacht Club code or AKL or POFQ...anyone will do!;) For Feb. 8-11!:cool1:

Hi, We have been going in February for the past few years. Always Pres. Week because that is when we have a weeks school vacation here in the Northeast. The weather does VARY and you do have to pack a variety of options, but the sunshine sure feels good to us after the snow and ice of the winter where we live!! We just returned from our Summer vacation at WDW and it was CROWDED. We are also planning our first Thanksgiving in WDW and from what I have read THAT will be VERY crowded also. So I am thinking Pres. Week in February will seem not so crowded to us this year!! :) Joan
