February 2009 .....Anyone else going then?

My sister and I will be at WL 1/31-2/8 (trying to talk our other sister into joining us the end of the week) - second time staying here - we booked in August and I contacted my TA for the recent deal to see if we can save some cash (have not heard back yet :sad2: ). Thought about switching to the Poly with the deal but would rather stay there in October/November when the weather will be warmer :goodvibes .

ADR's - called in September for most of them and got everything we wanted.
Dining first's for us on this trip:
Narcossee's & Kona Cafe

Hope you all have a magical time!! :tinker:
Have fun!

51 days to go!!!

And after another night of being snowed in (and no power!) in Seattle of all places, I can't wait for the Florida warmth!

I'm with you! we leave 2/12 and am SO ready to be done with the snow, the ice and now the WIND! Thankfully no power loss for us but a transformer blew the night you posted so we had a surge and that set off the smoke alarm in the middle of the night. Not fun.

Now the question is, what layers to bring, I read it could have some 40-50 days during that time even though the average is 72.

It's been a riot, I've rebooked this trip 3 times, each time saving quite a bit of money. Love it!

Started out at OKW 2 bedroom villa for thanksgiving. Airfare was insane so rescheduled for spring break at FW Cabin (none available at thanksgiving so was excited about that). That dropped it by about 2K. Soccer schedules dictated another change to Presidents week and allowed us to make it an xmas present. Changing that, with the 4/3 dropped it another 1K which basically paid for the dining plan!

So, we have 7 nights at FW cabin, magic plus dining with park hopper, airfare for 6 at a total of $5841. Plus we were able to tell the kids that they each are walking in with $50 to spend on souvenirs thanks to the $200 gift card we will get at check in!

The only drawback to FW I can see is some long bus rides ( though I would have loved to have walking as an option in the boardwalk/epcot area...it wasn't worth the extra 2K) and the complete lack of counter service (which means NO sense in buying a mug, wah!). I can't see the pool snack bar being open, when that pool is closed for refurb!

Really wish we could do islands of adventure for a day but a one day pass plus the rental car (which for 6 is about as cheap as a shuttle and would let us to go the grocery store) it wil run $600. Not worth it.

ADR's at Boma, Biergarten, Kona Cafe, HoopDeDoo, Planet Hollywood. HOB and 50's Prime Time.

I hear you! It is so hard to think about warm weather when I can't go outside without getting whipped by icy wind!

I'm thinking capris, cottons, and a hoodie for the evening. I'm kind of a wimp about cold so I will most likely bring a jacket, too!

Last time I was at WDW it was August and I was sweating constantly from the humidity and heat. I'm looking forward to the warm but cool temperature!

I think we're more excited than our 2 DD's......:lmao:
I know that feeling. I just can't wait to get back there. After each trip I'll say, okay, that's it for a few years and within 6-8 months, the itch is back.

We had an ice storm here in CT last night and today. Miserable! 35 more days!

My wife and I are staying at WL on second week of Feb. (4/3 deal + DxDP) We already have confirmation# on all our breakfast, lunch and dinner reservation.

I am going to eat until I explode. The airline might as well charge me extra for over the weight limit. LOL...

I just can't get my brain wrapped around the temp/weather for Feb in Orlando. I have read all the "avg temps" and stuff, but cannot translate it into what I should be packing for my DD (5) to wear. Shorts? Jeans? Dresses? What??? Help! I am not concerned about myself, because I always wear pants, but she will not be comfortable if she is too hot. Please help if you have been to WDW in Feb before!! We will be there 2/18-3/4.
Thanks.

Some of my friends are going on February, how I wish we were going too, but still we are in process of planning. Maybe we will have our trip on December, I'm excited and little bit crazy. :rotfl: But we can change our minds every now and then.:rotfl:

Have a safe trip everyone. :)

I always plan for a mix of weather.(shorts,Jeans ,long sleeve ,short sleeve, light jackets, heavy jackets...ect....Then I look for the 10 day forecast and adjust where needed. I don't think you can plan this far ahead ..Weather is always iffy in Feb..
